Shippo is great when you are just getting started because you don't know what you need, and Shippo does! Shippo is also great for growing companies. As we grew from 10 orders per day to several hundreds, the experience with Shippo was seamless.
We did quite a bit of research before landing a shipping partner and there were a few key factors that made us work with Shippo. The setup was very easy. It literally took about 10 minutes to set up. We also needed a shipping platform that would work with our e-commerce platform, and Shippo worked with our initial website WIX and when we migrated to Shopify, it was seamless. Last, we wanted a partner that would offer the best rates for all mail carriers ranging from USPS, UPS, and DHL to Federal Express. At Vontélle, we ship small packages and very large boxes both domestically and internationally. Shippo is an overall platform. We have no complaints so far. Our only suggestion is having 24hr live customer service or at least hours that we can reach a live person.
We use Shippo in our company to manage all orders received through our Shopify website. The process is very simple and pretty much entirely automated. The addresses, phone numbers, and emails all come over from Shopify, and Shippo even sends out emails with tracking info to our customers.

If you run a small business with one primary ship from location and don't need to ship more than 1-2 packages per address, Shippo is the best. At another company I manage, we use Shipstation because most orders need to be split up into multiple shipments. Shippo has recently added this feature, though, and it is really solid.
