Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed a starting point when we wanted to speed up technical SEO to raise our page ranks. The set of checkpoints provided by SEOTesting.com serves as that initial point. After some discussion about what was and wasn't significant, we were able to adjust the checkpoints so that they matched our business needs. After accumulating enough information to identify our blind spots, we progressed beyond that initial stage and developed automated testing.

Pros

  • Understanding how to fix mistakes by mapping to the WCAGG standard.
  • identifying pain sites through frequent reporting.
  • Possibility of adding personalised checkpoints to conform to messaging modifications

Cons

  • increased reporting capacity over extended periods of time.

Return on Investment

  • Even though this was just one strategy used to improve that metric, page rankings increased.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have the Agency licence of SEOTesting.com. I think it's a great tool to monitor the results of onpage & offpage SEO optimisations done on the sites. I also use other SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs and some others, but none of them can help with monitoring on the same level as SEOTesting.com.

  • Monitoring results of SEO activities

  • Performing SEO tests on single page and group level
  • Decent Dashboard with annotations, ranking buckets, etc
  • Tool uses Search Console data
  • Reports bring value and make it easy to find pages to optimise
  • Easy to use tool!
  • The tool is evolving all the time which is great
  • Top of the class customer service

Cons

  • SEOTesting.com is NOT all-in-one SEO tool. But what it does, it does really well.
  • Rank Tracking requires to fill landing page per keyword. That doesn't make sense as the desired landing page is not always the best ranking landing page for each keyword.
  • Dashboards timelines should have some options to select only the desired timeframe. Then it would be sometimes easier to look at only the last two months for example.

  • I'd love to see dates & days of the week appear on daily data points when I hover. (I have a lot of week vs weekday fluctuation.)
