Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SEOquake is a great web extension that I use along with semrush to get quick information about a website's organic traffic data in the search results. Features like semrush ranking, traffic data, and backlinks info are great to make quick decisions. The ability to change the search locale is also helpful to see what the search results are like in different locations.

Pros

  • traffic information
  • checking serp results from different locale
  • getting display ads information

Cons

  • on-page seo data like word counts

Likelihood to Recommend

SEOquake is a great tool to use alongside SEMrush with the quick data that it provides on the search results page it's helpful to make quick decisions. The ability to change the SERP locale is also really nice as it helps us analyze the search results page from different locations.

SEOquake to improve SEO

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I like that SEOquake is an easy to use SEO extension. I also like that you can go on pretty much any website to do site audits, making it easy to use for customers or for my own site. It breaks down a lot of information-- including site infrastructure, backlinks, and density. It's pretty much everything you need to know about a website in a somewhat easy to understand format.

Pros

  • Gives a ton of SEO info in one area. I usually have to use a few different Chrome extensions that show different areas to get the full picture that this tool gives you up front.
  • It gives you info on ways to improve the infrastructure of your website.
  • It's free for the first 100 pages of audit.

Cons

  • It doesn't have a sleek or exciting design. It is kinda clunky and not super appealing in color.
  • Due to the drop design it can be hard to read. If they updated the program to be more modern I think it would be used much more frequently.

Likelihood to Recommend

It covers a website's SEO from head to toe, so anytime you have an SEO audit or want to look for ways to improve your site this is the tool to use. It's even better that this tool is free and is an easy to use Chrome extension.

SEOquake: Helpful, but Lackluster

Rating: 6 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SEOquake is a tool we implemented in the marketing department as a browser extension to analyze websites and provide deeper insight. We are able to use this product to keep track of our digital marketing retainer accounts in order to measure ongoing progress and success. Being able to compare websites with competitors is helpful, as many of our clients are focused on outranking the competition.

Pros

  • The SEOquake extension is helpful and non-invasive to the browser. It hides away in the top left corner and doesn't expand unless you tell it to.
  • The domain comparison feature is nice to see a high-level view of how a website sizes up against competitors.
  • It gives a nice diagnosis of some key features that the website is doing well in, and where it could improve.

Cons

  • The high-level parameters are nice to see, but for a new-to-the-tool person, they are confusing and don't provide a lot of explanation, unfortunately.
  • The keyword density section is somewhat helpful but gives the density in a percentage without rationale as to what an average percentage is or what the website should aim for.

Likelihood to Recommend

SEOquake is a good option if you want something quick on your browser to analyze some high-level information about a website.

However, if you want more in-depth analysis, there are other tools that may be better suited for that type of work.
