Securly Classroom is used to monitor student use of computers during the school day, as well as provide individual support and push classroom links to students. The use of Securly Classroom during virtual learning has been super helpful because sometimes students can get distracted when they are at home and this platform helps staff to support students to stay on task. If a student has a link open that they aren't supposed to have open, the teacher can close the tab or lock the screen to give them space to close the tab themselves. This helps to get students back on track to learning. Sometimes students also had challenges with getting to a classroom link or website and Securly Classroom gives staff the ability to send those links directly to their computers so they can access the meeting link or website for assignments. The private chat is also helpful for one on one conversations for students who don't feel comfortable writing in the whole chat of the Google meet. I would definitely recommend using this platform.

As stated earlier it is very well suited to monitor computer use in the classroom and for virtual learning. The ability to send links to students who have trouble opening them is helpful, especially when students are home and don't have a teacher present to help. It is also helpful with its individual chat rooms where students can communicate privately with the teacher.
