VP IT- Financial Systems (Source-to-Pay) in Information Technology at Sony Pictures Entertainment (5001-10,000 employees employees)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use it for managing contingent workforce in North America- primarily non-IT contingents. It integrates seamlessly with SAP Ariba via the Business Network in terms of work orders/POs and timesheets/invoices.
Pros
Overall responsiveness and support- very helpful
Easy to follow and review the job posting through work order approval
Simple for a Managed service provider to leverage and administer the contingent workforce program
Clear, clean UI and streamlined user interface
Cons
Some of the accounting dropdowns/combinations are clunky and not easy to use in conjunction with each other
User profiles are not synched with Ariba- sometimes missing information in Ariba would cause invoices to fail/get stuck. Would be helpful to have a hard stop in SAP Fieldglass to prevent such issues
Additional expertise across resources would be helpful. As noted, support itself is responsive and willing. However, we would continue to go through our original implementation contact for knowledge and immediate help.
Return on Investment
Much greater workforce visibility into hiring and spend
Greater compliance with policies and procedures
Streamlined and clear end to end contingent workforce process in conjunction with a managed service provider.
Alternatives Considered
Workday Workforce Management and Beeline Extended Workforce Platform
Other Software Used
SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Concur, graphiteConnect, Sirion, Simfoni

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I am a user that is in the tool every single day. We currently use Fieldglass to manage our contingent workforce of over 18,000 employees. One big issue we face is pricing/rate visibility and Fieldglass allows total transparency between our suppliers to know we are getting the market value while also displaying market trends. On top of this, SAP is always ahead of the game with KPIs and investing in the new and improved technology which we then reap the benefits of in our system after big releases and software updates.
