SAP Concur serves as a comprehensive platform for travel and expense management, widely adopted by organizations, including those with global operations, to centralize and simplify processes like trip booking, expense submission, and reimbursement. In TrustRadius reviews, users frequently commend its ease of use and intuitive interface, particularly highlighting robust mobile app functionality for on-the-go receipt capture and expense management. The system streamlines expense report creation, submission, and approval, with effective receipt handling and automation features contributing to operational efficiency.

Reviewers consistently report significant improvements in operational efficiency and time savings, with 64% noting positive impacts on overall process improvement through better tracking and consolidation. However, some limitations exist, particularly regarding travel booking features, which are often perceived as less comprehensive than alternatives. Issues with expense itemization accuracy for hotel bills, an unintuitive user interface requiring excessive clicks, and a need for more robust reporting functionalities are also cited. Overall, the platform is valued for its ability to automate and simplify financial workflows, despite specific areas identified for enhancement.

  • User-friendly interface and intuitive design for expense submission
  • Efficient mobile app for on-the-go receipt capture and management
  • Streamlined expense report creation, submission, and approval workflows
  • Effective automation for receipt handling and expense processing
  • Robust integration capabilities with SAP ERP systems for financial automation
  • Limited travel booking features compared to alternative platforms
  • Inaccurate expense itemization, particularly for hotel bills
  • User interface can be unintuitive and require excessive clicks for tasks
  • Reporting and data analysis features lack robustness and user-friendliness

SAP Concur Review.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use SAP Concur to upload and code my expenses for reimbursement. SAP Concur is very easy to use, and I like that you can drop the receipt and not have to go into the expense and add the attachment. They have made some improvements since I started utilizing it in 2019. In addition, I enjoy selecting all/some of my transactions and allocating them to the same cost codes. That makes it easy since I usually charge my expenses using the same code. I have enjoyed utilizing it and can't think of any improvements.

Pros

  • Allocating multiple expenses.
  • Uploading Receipts by dropping them.
  • Selecting code to charge to - job cost, airfare, etc.

Cons

  • Being able to read the receipt - date, amount, store.
  • Copying coding from previous reports.

Likelihood to Recommend

SAP Concur is suitable for all transactions. At least I haven't run into anything I haven't been able to tackle. As mentioned, some improvements would be to be able to read the receipt and populate some of those key items for easier and more efficient processing.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Concur for Expense for a number of years and finally canceled it as it never worked correctly. The interface for employees had lots of issues and support was terrible to say the least. The Rep for us was constantly changing and they never did what they said they would do.

Cons

  • Customer service
  • Technical support
  • More user friendly interface for both user and admin

Likelihood to Recommend

I would avoid them. We used it for years and it cost us more time in labor to manage it and never got it to work properly

Concur rocks!!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP Concur seamlessly integrates our Corporate Card transactions and Expense Reports with SAP. Concur UI, workflow and the feature list is impeccable. All of the personalization to be able to update different travel accounts, delegation capability makes it very user intuitive. The notifications and alerts to my email is very helpful and it helps keep track of transactions and flag any unexpected ones. All in all, it's an extremely valuable product for corporations to manage their travel and expenses.

Pros

  • Integration with Banks and SAP systems
  • feature rich
  • alerts and notifications

Likelihood to Recommend

SAP Concur suits for any organizations that run SAP.
