SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) plays a pivotal role in optimizing our operations and delivering value to our portfolio of startups. The platform is instrumental in addressing several key business challenges and aligns with our broader goals of fostering growth and innovation.
It enables us to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each startup in our portfolio. This includes monitoring metrics related to customer acquisition, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. The real-time analytics provided by SAC empower us to gauge the success of each startup and identify areas for improvement.
Pros
Portfolio Health Analysis
Performance Tracking and KPI Monitoring
Resource Allocation and Planning
Cons
Complexity in Data Modeling
SAC supports various data sources, but improvements in the ease of connecting to and integrating with certain data repositories, especially non-SAP databases, would enhance the platform's versatility and integration capabilities.
An offline mode for SAC could be valuable for users who need to access and analyze data without an internet connection. Additionally, optimizing performance for large datasets and complex visualizations would contribute to a smoother user experience.
Likelihood to Recommend
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) excels in scenarios where organizations require comprehensive analytics and reporting capabilities across various business functions. For instance, in financial planning and analysis, SAC's robust data modeling and visualization features enable finance teams to create dynamic dashboards, perform scenario analysis, and generate insightful reports for strategic decision-making. Additionally, SAC is well-suited for executive-level reporting, offering intuitive and visually appealing presentations that provide leaders with a consolidated view of key performance indicators. In sales and marketing, SAC's ability to integrate data from multiple sources facilitates in-depth analysis of sales trends, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions. Moreover, SAC's collaborative features make it suitable for cross-functional teams, fostering communication and knowledge-sharing through interactive data exploration.
SAC has been used for Financial dashboards as well as the SAP Control Tower, the ESG reporting solution from SAP. From development point of view, creating a dashboard is fairly easy. Controls around accessing certain types of data are also straightforward. End-users will get a consistent look and feel between different dashboards, which is great.
Pros
Consistent look and feel, regardless of the type or content of the dashboard
Planning capabilities
Cons
the way to implement complex calculations and filtering accross tabs/tables is not intuitive in the beginning
Likelihood to Recommend
well suited for dashboarding and consistent look and feel accross dashboards. using the analytics slice-and-dice is less intuitive, but that is more getting used to how to use the tooling. SAC delivers on what's promised.

My overall experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is amazing. In my opinion, SAC is a great software for standard reporting created by the central team for many (hundreds/thousands) users. If you want to keep data consistency, apply a common, shared security/data access framework (inherited from the source system) and build consistent reporting for core business areas, then SAP Analitycs Cloud with live connection is the right choice. SAC is extraordinary. The central team can manage security and data access, KPIs definitions, master data, hierarchies, currency conversion, translation etc. This is the reason I like the Sap Analytics cloud.
Pros
hierarchies
currency conversions
common security & data access framework
Cons
somewhere basic design improvements

As a practical tool in sales and business development, as well as in the budget to estimate current costs and forecast future costs of the company, we import or connect the necessary database information to this platform and statistical data and results in the form of tables and visual models. Shareholders and investors are always looking for a clear picture of the performance of the executive team and the number of sales and progress of projects and want to predict the level of profitability and future sales, and we analyze all databases with the help of SAC and BI technology. More careful decision-making and the possibility of predicting the future of the market and transparency in the performance of various departments have transformed our company business life.
Pros
Ability to import and connect databases and various information sources.
Create analyzed visual output with segregated information understandable to all.
The advantage of SaaS and cloud-based technology is that it can analyze and output any type of big data with just a few clicks.
Cons
I prefer the output of information and visual charts to be translatable into all languages, especially RTL languages, and this feature should be added to all SAP products by default, and graphic themes and fonts appropriate to that language should also be used for it. This provides us with a step towards localization as well as better communication with the audience in seminars and meetings.
Relevant references, guides, video tutorials in plain language, and the hint should be included in all pages and different sections of the software so that the novice user can remind it again.
Mobile UI design should be better than this and have the ability to download and display more output file types.

This is one of the SAP cloud-based software products that Business Intelligence has a very fast and easy operation of. It does not require database knowledge and data analysis science to use it. It is very agile and smart, and can handle any size or data scales, and will provide you with smart results. Great for organizational planning and big data analytics and business forecasting.
