We utilize it to see how we will get paid out based on each month's performance. It's Crucial to understand where we are in terms of OTE. The best part of Spiff team versus other vendors is the availability to access assistance when we are not finding the results we need.
Pros
Easy to use
Lays out payment in great detail
GreatUX
Cons
I think how organizations use it to really be an intuitive system
Not sure if customization is available, but maybe that would help

It’s simple to use and works with what we need it for. Moving away from chaotic spreadsheets and manual processes has been such a relief. It also allows us to get better insights into our compensation cycle and ensure that any mistakes are ironed out in a timely manner. It’s highly efficient.
We use SPIFF to calculate all sales commissions within our organization across the globe. Spiff allows us to get out of spreadsheets which saves us days of effort as we no longer have to breakdown one main file into 50 sub files.
Pros
Allows for one source of truth
Allows for 24/7, 365 access
Cons
Reporting is difficult to create and set up
There really isn't any off the shelf solutions which makes everything custom and leaves room for mistakes

Spiff works great in scenarios where historical data does not change. In environments where historical sales data changes, spiff struggles because of the locking and unlocking of statements.
We use Spiff to automate commissions and at the same time provide visibility to the users of their commission calculation. The product solves a variety of main problems: (1) Accuracy of the commission calculation, (2) Speed of the commission calculation, (3) Visibility of the commission calculation process. In addition, the use case extends to document managements related to commissions.
Pros
Automating commission calculation with well-guided formulas and instructions
Reporting commission calculations as well as providing visibility to the users on how their commissions were calculated
Ability to modify commission metrics / reports
Cons
Functionality for document senders to see how the document looks like after sending a document
Functionality to download data from designer section
Functionality to present YTD commission data on the front end for users
Likelihood to Recommend
Spiff is well suited for a company that has complex commission structure (e.g tier-based + extra kickers) and that is growing. The reason is because its functionalities allow us to create logic or formulas that are quite flexible and able to accommodate any change in the commission calculations and enable admins to filter the data with sets of logic that Spiff feeds from without having to change the data in the original source.

I use Spiff in my organization to help keep track of my commissions from month to month and quarter to quarter. I can see how much I have sold over the course of the year, and determine how much I should be getting paid based on those sales. Honestly, for me it just take the guess work out of how much I'm going to be getting paid in my next pay checks.
Pros
It syncs with your internal systems to show how much you have sold during the current period.
It tells you how much you should expect to get paid based on your sales.
It keeps track of how you have performed over the course of the year and tells you when you are in accellerators.
It also details your organizations sales rules and payout rules so that you just have one place to go for all questions commission related.
Cons
I think it would be nice to see how you are performing compared to the rest of your team or region.
It would also be nice if you could change the commission periods to be quarterly instead of monthly.
It would also be nice to be able to see how you compared to the same time the previous year.

It is really well suited to quickly show you how much you are getting paid on your commissions. I don't know if they offer additional spiff management, for blitz days or anything like that, but that would be cool too. It just makes it a little easier to find out payment amounts and schedules in a singular place.
Ever had to keep track of your commissions on clunky spreadsheets? are you constantly having to tell ops and finance to fix your commission overview? Spiff gets rid of all confusion by giving you a simple to use clear platform that will give you an accurate breakdown of your deals and the commission you earned for a certain period. The integration with Salesforce makes it super simple sync and talk back and forth giving you and managers all the information you need to make sure you get paid what you are supposed to. It is also a great way to track any accelerators and see how close you are as an org to your revenue goals.
Pros
Commission breakdown
Integration with Salesforce
Accelerator tracking
Great visual of quota, attainment, any spiffs, and total payment
Cons
Sometimes deals were hard to filter through. showing all deals as opposed to quarter, month, etc.
I can't think of anything else
the tool is great

If your organization has any form of sales-assisted team or motion it is key to have a tool like Spiff. It makes it super simple for the entire team to be on the same page and also reduces so many errors that cause disgruntled sales representatives and that is not a good place to be in.
Commissions tracking and reporting. System must track deals, commission rates, and account start dates. The sales and sales operation teams all have accounts. The sales teams are broken into different segments, each segment and roles therein will have different quotas and commission strictures. Any solution we use must be flexible enough for these different personas and nuance.
Pros
Visualization
Dashboarding
Automation
Cons
Sychronization
Building trust

Spiff is a big improvement for our team. The visualization/dashboard are helpful and nearly replace the need for a sales rep to keep his/her own records. There are a couple of quirks in how the information is displayed across categories that can be a bit confusing but we are figuring those out.
Prior to Spiff, understanding my personal variable comp was truly so confusing. It was hard to know what I was getting paid each month, what they correct calculation should be, and if that was actualized with my paycheck. Now, Spiff makes it so simple and trustworthy and is something I find so fun to use each time I look. I also love that it shows my % of quota attainment.
Pros
Quickly pulls closed-won from Salesforce
Maps out the % comp calculation so you can verify the math
displays how much you've earned over the last rolling 12 months
Cons
If there was a way to push deals in same day that would be awesome
I'd also love a notification each week of my total instead of having to log in
Likelihood to Recommend
Any fast-moving sales team needs this tool. The last thing you want is unhappy sales people, so giving them great visibility they can trust into their variable comp is crucial.
Before Spiff, I have no view into what to expect for commission each quarter. Spiff has made it simple for me to track expected commission and allows me to drill in to see the data behind the percentages. I also can access Spiff via SSO from my phone which is very helpful.
Pros
Mobile Experience
Drilling into data points
Simple comparison between quarters
Cons
I would like to be able to set up alerts when commission numbers change
I would like to be able to download historical data
Likelihood to Recommend
Spiff very helpful for users that need to track their commissions in a sales role. Users that do not have access to advanced reporting in other sales data tools (ie: salesforce) it is needed to track progress against quota. Spiff is not needed for users not in a quota carrying role.
