Sales Cloud is a must for sales teams
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Salesforce Sales Cloud is the heart of our org's CRM function. Our entire team uses it to help the company track data that is important to us. From Account / Contact records, to Opportunity management, to Territory Management, it covers many bases and I don't see another solution being able to provide what Sales Cloud does.
Pros
- Tracks sales opportunities through our sales stages, giving everyone visibility into pipeline.
- Easy to create reports and dashboards using the CRM data.
- Flexible automation options from email alerts, record creation, approvals, and more.
Cons
- Would like more flexibility when it comes to page layouts using standard functionality. It is limiting and forces pages to look crowded.
- Complex joins across objects are sometimes impossible to do within the platform, forcing us to export data and go from there.
- It's expensive!
Likelihood to Recommend
Sales Cloud is perfect if you're in B2B with long sales cycles. It handles account hierarchies, opportunity stages, quote management, and multi-role selling perfectly. If you're an early-stage startup, the cost and complexity aren't worth the value. Other solutions may be a better fit. If you're a small team, then Sales Cloud is also overkill.
