Use Cases and Deployment Scope
As Chief Product Officer, I was tasked with figuring out a better demo environment for our sales team. Our internal teams use our software, so for a while, we demoed out of our production instance. That production account became problematic to keep clean and organized. Taking engineering resources away from our roadmap to create a demo environment was not an option. Our CRO rejected the idea of recorded videos and our CTO rejected making a coping of our environment for security reasons.
We tried Saleo because it's using a real production account with no fake URL's. The amount of prep time our SolCon team spends building a custom demo went from hours to minutes. Our velocity team can grab an industry template and show the prospect our product in the context of their business. One of the side benefits that I did not expect is the product marketing team uses Saleo for new features and release marketing.

Pros

Cons
- When we first rolled out, it was hard to changing a data point in multiple places quickly. This was just fixed by the roll out of personalization strings.
- We have very complex tables. At first the table editor needed some help handling the nesting. The newest release of Saleo fixed the issue we had.
Likelihood to Recommend
Saleo is well suited for SaaS businesses who want their SolCon and Sales teams to demo out of a real production account, not a fake one. With Saleo our commercial sales team can easily select an Industry template and go...literally no prep to show the product with industry data. Our SolCon team can build out a custom demo with the customer's data in a few minutes. There is also a sharing feature, so if someone built something cool they can share it with everyone. Also, our product marketing team has started using it for screenshots and videos.
