Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Runa as a way to connect with potential clients, and send ecards to employees as recognition of key events (such as birthdays, or successful work). What we need is a platform that is simple to use, has a wide variety of ecard options and give us a good level of financial reporting to make it easier for us to reconcile payments at the end of each month.

Likelihood to Recommend

Runa does one thing for us and it does it well - giving people important to us (staff, survey recipients, people within our market) a reward for something that they have done. We've used other platforms and found them clunky, with Runa it feels frictionless. In my opinion, it's a good platform to solve a particular functional problem; the delivery of rewards.

We use Runa (WeGift) for birthday recognition for our employees. Prior to Runa, we purchased gift cards one by one and distributed these on the day of the birthday. It was time consuming and created a lot of "paperwork" and invoicing for Finance. We started using Runa to streamline this process and minimize the admin workload.

Employee Recognition, Birthday recognition, spot recognition, etc. The platform has many options and easily allows for our company to purchase and distribute over 400+ gift card options for our employees in 1 fell swoop. The employee choice has been a huge positive.

We use Runa as an international gift voucher provider for the marketplace of MELP employee engagement platform. Runa gift voucher shop is integrated and seamlessly provided to end-users, employees of large corporates, who have flexible benefit allowances from their employers. This suits very well companies with a distributed workforce, when their teams are situated in various countries and want to select different employee benefits, in the form of gift cards from various suppliers.

  • Professional work during integration

Cons

  • Handling currencies - so far there is no internal currency conversion and we keep different currencies in different accounts
  • More suppliers in Asian markets

Likelihood to Recommend

Runa is great if you need a large selection of gift suppliers in Europe from an aggregator, without contacting each of them separately. Runa handles customer service very well, we have a dedicated customer success person, who is always there for us, works quickly and professionally.

So far Runa is not represented much in Asian markets, but this is in their plans. Runa could offer currency conversion on its own, which would make life easier for their clients:)

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a business we use Runa for customer incentives and rewards. The sales team use it for incentivising customers to join utilita and the marketing team use it for customer competitions, rewards and lotto's. On an adhoc basis we may also use it for staff rewards.
From the sales teams perspective, we currently don't have any issues with the service. The platform is super easy to use, there's a vast amount of vouchers available and customer services provided to us to great. If anything, our only current issues are the fact the energy crisis and Ofgem's speedbumps are preventing us (sales team) using it as much as we used to/would like to.

At times i find we have a lot of customers who either make errors when entering their email upon sign up or provide us the wrong one etc. The function the platform allows for resending vouchers to a different email is so handy and means we can make these amends to sends without any hassle. In the past our old provider didn't have this function and it made for a very arduous experience

We use Runa to send digital gift cards to our customers. We had a provider before that did not have near the catalog that Runa has, nor did they have a portal that we could process reissues, access our account information, or place orders through. Runa has both a portal and an API, which helps with our business needs.

Pros

  • Consistently adding new products
  • Great account management
  • Easy to use account portal

Cons

  • Support team is responsive, but can take several days or more to get resolution sometimes
  • Status of different brands can change a lot over the course of short periods of time - not always Runa's fault, but sometimes frustrating
  • We've been through several account managers due to turnover. Thankfully, they catch on quick, but does take a bit to get a new AM up to speed each time

Runa is great if you need either a direct gift card supplier or if you need to purchase digital gift cards in bulk. Great for adhoc as well.

At our company, we use Runa for customer and employee recognition. Most often, we use Runa to provide gift cards to our sales team to recognize their efforts and milestones. We have also used Runa for prizes at our annual event - this worked great and gained excitement from attendees!

  • Works well for remote companies to be able to reward their employees.
  • Ease of use for new users to understand.
  • Overall, provides a solid rewards catalog.

Cons

  • I believe Runa could continually improve its rewards catalog.
  • Runa should have the Visa gift card option available to all users.

Likelihood to Recommend

Runa works very well for remote companies who do not meet in person for recognition events, etc. There are not a lot of options for remote companies to have competitive recognition offering in terms of gift cards and Runa definitely solves our needs there. Their customer support has always been very responsive when a question has come up!
