Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Rocket Servergraph ensures that our data is stored under secure environment. It monitors how data is transferred from one device to another ensuring that the networking system is reliable. The user dashboard is flexible and when there is an issue with stored files it raises alarm. All our sales documents are stored under this system and I have never experienced any data loss.

Cons

It is flexible to work with this platform.
I have not experienced any missing functionality.

Data storage and provision of reliable backup plan is part of great services provided by this great product. It is the central reporting system that shows storage units and controls the data metrics that runs across our organization. It gives us the basic planning workbase for monitoring data pathways and performance details of our organization.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Servergraph to report on and administer TSM (Spectrum Protect) on numerous instances and location and centrally manage it. TSM administrators, system administrators and application groups all rely on the reporting capabilities for failed backup, system resource alerts and special adhoc requirements. Servergraph addresses our need to closely monitor our backup environment which includes TSM. Networker and Datadomain.

Pros

Failed backup reporting is easily tailored to specific person, group or function
The TSM console makes a novice admin more productive quickly as it builds the command syntax for you.
Alerts when a backup system is down or a resource like a storage pool will soon require expansion
Trend analysis and historical reporting support capital expenditures

Cons

It would be nice to have an administrator console for Networker and Datadomain the likes of the one in TSM which is so incredibly helpful.

Likelihood to Recommend

Rocket Servergraph is well suited for any backup environment where the end user wants a more comprehensive understanding of their systems.
I have not found one OEM supplied reporting system that can hold a candle to the job that Rocket does.
