We use Rippling as our payroll provider, our Human Resource Information System, and our Applicant tracking system. We switched from another platform that didn't manage our employee profiles as well and didn't have an ATS included. By switching to Rippling we were able to cut back from 3 separate systems and costs down to just one system.

Rippling was quite easy to set up. They had an integration team that met with us weekly to make sure we were payroll ready and had the resources to manage our employees, the applicant tracking system and so much more. After using other systems, I can confidently say Rippling blows them out of the water.
Our company relies on Rippling to handle ALL of the company’s operations. From the moment an offer letter is presented to a candidate to outlining the company benefits to PTO time and payroll management, Rippling has been an all inclusive one-stop shop for this company’s employees and I could not be more impressed with the ease of use!

Rippling is a great platform to use to access employee benefits, look up one’s PTO accruals, address any payroll inquiries and other operational aspects. That said, I would’ve preferred to have received my employment offer letter directly from someone in my company’s HR department than from a portal on Rippling, as that would’ve been a more personal touch, in my opinion.
Rippling is the interface for employee onboarding, training (e.g., sexual harassment training), payroll management, and PTO for an organization of 40-50 people. In general, we use Rippling for as much as possible - the first step for deploying any new HR function is seeing if it can be integrated with or done through Rippling.

PTO calendar exports as a large list of events added to and polluting personal calendar, rather than as a shared calendar which I can activate/deactivate as necessary. It is also a one-time export, so new PTO requests aren't reflected on my calendar.
Login on mobile app can be unreliable and sometimes enters authentication loops.
Healthcare/insurance integration is barebones, employees must fill many fields themselves.

From an employee perspective, Rippling works well for our smaller and relatively young company as a unified interface for HR management as internal processes are flexible and can be aligned with what Rippling supports. However, I imagine it would be less suitable for larger companies with more specific needs that may not be easily supported in Rippling.

I used Rippling for onboarding when I started a new job. The interface was VERY user friendly. I was able to quickly onboard with zero issues. I worked at a small HR company before and it was not nearly as efficient or user friendly. I would definitely recommend using Rippling for HR software!

I use Rippling for Payroll, benefits, time and attendance and time off apps. I am one of the admins of the account and did the implementation.
Pros
Tracks Time & Attendance of hourly employees.
Has an auto sync of benefits and the payroll app so I never have to update employee benefit amounts when running payroll.
The payroll app is really easy to use and it has a lot of flexibility to configure.
The pay run overview when finalizing a payroll gives you a change report that is really easy to navigate and click directly into an employee's details of their pay to see the changes.
The audit log is really nice to track changes and by whom.
Cons
The implementation was tough, it was like a do it yourself project.
There was no test run available to complete a "dry run" of a payroll. It was not very smooth to process a live payroll as your first go at a new payroll system.
There is no customer service you can call. It is all chat and email.

Overall the system works really well, it is intuitive, has a LOT of capabilities for a company to track hiring, payroll, benefits and other compliance needs. Once the system is setup, it is great, getting all your company specific needs into the system to run smooth is a headache at first. But once you know how to tweak everything it is very easy to use going forward.

It serves as an organizational portal for holiday / vacation time & requests. As a startup, Rippling has streamlined a lot of the workflow of typical HR taskings and payroll execution. Rippling is well suited for small business with limited staff or non-existent HR departments looking to semi-automate onboarding workflows of common HR functions (e.g. W4 entry, non-compete & other new employee document signatures, etc.) as well as managing time and attendance, payroll and expense reporting. It has a lot of out-of-the-box functionality for companies with limited budgets and looking for a software that can grow with them.

We use Rippling for a multitude of functions. From benefits to pay information this is a terrific resource for our team to mange their own work related information. Rippling allowed us to combine what had been four vendors into one service. We were stuck in age of spreadsheets and databases which in turn meant things were missed and inefficiency reigned. It was a frustrating time and only when we started using Rippling did we finally understand just how inefficient our operations had been. Rippling handles the onboarding of new employees sending to them the necessary documents to be compliant with the business, state and accrediting agencies. They have direct portal that these items can then be uploaded to. So intuitive and streamlined. Love it.
Rippling offers many services and we have taken advantage of several of these. The ability to have one entity that manages so many facets of our business is so helpful. No longer wondering who is responsible for what documentation or what business hours are for someone who handles our HR. Now, it's all in one place and highly efficient.
Efficient. It's a word I use a lot when asked about Rippling. They have saved us time, and eliminated our errors which also cost time and money. This is a game changer for us. Not to mention a relief on the nerves.

It is hard to think of ways that Rippling could improve. The one area that we did have a bit of a slowdown was in the onboarding process. It was not intuitive and we expect to have some learning curve so if I could say anything needs improvement it would be this area.

Rippling is well suited for a company that is growing and has a staff of 8 to 20 staff and growing. They handle the HR for us and the timekeeping and payroll. They keep our staff compliant with the State and accrediting agencies. They are a hub which our employees use to handle everything from payroll to PTO.
Rippling is used from time keeping and punching, to personal time off and other types of time off request. It is also used to manage payroll functions, such as submitting timecards and pay stubs. As an individual user, all the administrative functions are available all in the software and allows for fast and effective communication for HR needs

Overall, Rippling software on a web browser and in the App is extremely easy to use and navigate. Time keeping and tracking, payroll functions, administrative support are just some of the functions within the software that are simple and easy to get to and use. Only real complaint on the software is more towards the app and the limited information it shows and connectivity.
