Proliant is a good company with good products, but needs work

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proliant for processing payroll, paying payroll taxes, and some human resources-related issues. They also provided the RPO platform for use and help us troubleshoot the issues that come along with that platform.

Pros

  • Payroll administrator communicates well with us
  • Payroll administrator is quick to respond to questions and needs

Cons

  • I cannot get RPO to be changed to how it needs to be for our business needs (when T&L employees move to salaried, for example). I have had several meetings regarding this and it still is not fixed -- more than a year later
  • Slow response from employee.helpdesk@proliant.com often leads me to send messages to payroll administrator for response
  • I believe we are paying for some added services; I do not know what these services are and I've asked on several occasions to have someone contact me about this.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is solely based on two things: the fact that we have been unable to have issues fixed after more than a year of dealing with them AND since a key contact for us left we are unable to get a fast turnaround on many questions unless we contact the person who handles our payroll. I like the platform and it's easy to use, but when it's not functioning how we need it to, that's a problem. I still cannot see what my actual PTO balance is on my dashboard (the same for three other employees). This is an issue.

Proliant is a great all in one payroll/HR/attendance/review/benefits platform

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proliant on a daily basis for all of our Onboarding, Payroll, Attendance, and Benefits. The all-in-one system has helped us go from multiple sources of information (including manual info and spreadsheets) to an automated system. We utilize the reports daily and have had excellent support staff assistance from Proliant. We highly recommend them for any payroll needs.

Pros

  • Process Payroll.
  • Write customized reports.
  • Maintain all information in one platform.

Cons

  • Improve customer service turn around time for end of year changes/essentials.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for a company with more than 10 employees, less than 10 employees probably wouldn't make sense to need to purchase. Recommend purchasing the benefits admin system in the package.

Best in the business

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilized the Payroll, Paid time off, and benefits services. Payroll use was for all employees to clock in and out every day. The paid time off aspect made sure that all employees had the correct amount of PTO to use by the anniversary dates. Benefit services were not 100% utilized as we used a brokerage service for the benefits but Proliant integrated those plans into payroll and we were able to use an employee navigator for the employees to determine the benefit packages that best suit them.

Pros

  • Fantastic customer service!!
  • Well implemented products.
  • Well rounded choices for all HR needs.

Cons

  • For benefit services outside of Proliant, I had to manually enter the choices that could have come directly from Navigator. Navigator would send over codes but they were not the correct codes that had to be entered for deductions to be counted correctly.

The team of people that work with you at Proliant are intelligent and proficient. They are highly professional always!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Proliant is our EHR system that manages human resources, payroll, documentation, PTO, applicant tracking, etc. We needed a vendor that was able to easily encompass all the areas of human resources to ensure compliance and systematic processes.

Pros

  • Documentation Repository
  • Systematically organize human resources
  • Staff management

Cons

  • Applicant Tracking
  • Job Postings
  • Recruitment
  • Customization of preferences

Likelihood to Recommend

For companies needing basic, simple HR functioning, this platform works really well. When a lot of customization, specifications, or if your organization is more complex in nature and structure, this platform would be less easy to integrate.

User Friendly and Great Customer Service

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proliant as our payroll software for my company and for various reporting, ACA Auditing, and W2 purposes. It serves as a great complementary resource to use with our specialized EMS scheduling software.

Pros

  • Easy user interface
  • Quality report building
  • Great customer service
  • Easy end of year sign offs

Cons

  • Potentially clean up the amount of areas that reports can be found

Likelihood to Recommend

Proliant integrates well with other scheduling software that my company uses. The scheduling software we use is extremely specialized to the EMS world, and Proliant makes for easy importing of payroll files. Proliant sets you up with a single account representative that is easy to contact directly - no menus or hard to access extensions - just a generic phone number that they have reps that can be reached.
