ProjectLibre is used by our IT department to manage our infrastructure and development projects. We've been using it for many years and best of all, the software is open source and compatible with our Windows 10 and Linux operating systems that our IT team uses in the office. The software allows us to go further and we have the routine of creating diagrams and different types of graphics to improve our management and control of micro activities within the projects of the areas. It has a friendly and intuitive interface and with a simple training it is possible to master all the features.

ProjectLibre is very similar to Microsoft Project, but it is free. It has a user-friendly interface that is simple to understand and use. Best of all is its compatibility to import and export data to Project and PDF without any restriction. ProjectLibre is very important to execute medium and large scale projects that we develop. There is a possibility to create many diagrams, with Gantt and PERT being the most used by me. I feel like you don't lose anything to any paid competitor software
Our company needed software to manage projects, times and requirements, without forgetting important activities and sequentialities. Our main problem was the inexperience, due by the fact that we had never used project management software. It was essential for us to find a simple tool, within everyone's reach that would allow us to organize the activities clearly and functionally.
Pros
Simplicity: tool easy to use
Functional: a software that does what we need
User friendly: excellent interface for all users
Cons
Change color to gantt bar
Project header title is missing
Data on the management of project costs
Likelihood to Recommend
In my opinion, ProjectLibre is recommended for all those who need a quick tool, easy to use and simple for the management of project activities, and its related dependence and priorities. It is less appropriate when looking for a software that manages project costs and other expenses data relative to an activity/project.

ProjectLibre is an Opensource alternative to Microsoft Project. it allows users to design workflows, track projects, and related expenses. It does most of everything most project management tools do. In my business, we use Project Libre when we are designing new products, and this helps a lot, so we don't put the cart before the horse or spend too much time waiting on something to complete when we could also be preparing something else. As we're going along the product development cycle, we develop a new product, and we can also start looking at packaging criteria and design even before we have the actual product in hand and also have everything ready as we need it.
Pros
It opens Microsoft Project files, therefore making it somewhat unrestricted in use or sharing files from MS Project.
It has a simple and familiar user interface.
Cons
Can they please create some kind of collaboration tool among groups?
The interface can do with some modernization.
Likelihood to Recommend
ProjectLibre is a great project management tool, especially for small businesses that don't have the budget to purchase commercial project management apps. Furthermore, while a bit challenging to learn, it's still easier than most of the others, and you can still read or open files from MS Project. These are just a few features that would make it affordable and attractive to most small businesses or startups.

This software is used by the IT department, specifically the project area. It is an open-source program specializing in project management of the company. Its operation is very similar to Microsoft Project that we used once. The main objective of the team using this software is to maintain an organization and management of development and infrastructure projects.
Pros
Open-source.
Compatible with Linux, Mac OS and Windows.
Friendly interface.
Cons
Translation of some words.
Interface is not fast and fluid.
Problems saving the file sometimes. The program closes.

It's great for managing small and medium projects. ProjectLibre is free and we can do the following things:
Create calendars for projects, tasks, and resources.
Allocate material and human resources to tasks. Sequence tasks and use the main forms of dependencies between them.
ProjectLibre is being utilized as a replacement for Microsoft Project. ProjectLibre is a low-cost option and allows all of the functionality to track projects and milestones. It is currently only being used by a small group in the department. It addresses the concerns of project track and allows for staying on track.
Pros
ProjectLibre is great for project management. It allows us to establish milestones and timeline planning for projects.
It allows us to stay organized among multiple projects.
It is extremely simple to use with a simple interface. It takes little time to plan out a project with key dates and provides a nice graphic.
Cons
The interface could use some updating. The design is old and clunky looking.
The graphic design and editing features could be increased to provide a better overall presentation of the timeline.
I would also like to see a quick dashboard of all my upcoming milestones related to my projects.
Likelihood to Recommend
ProjectLibre is appropriate in any scenario where a timeline plan with milestones is needed such as product development. It is less suited in scenarios where multiple deviations from a timeline occur.
