Please provide some detailed examples of areas where Vasion Print has room for improvement.

From 5 reviews | Last Published June 12, 2026

Reviewers identified several areas where Vasion Print could be enhanced, primarily focusing on system management, support, and functional completeness. A key concern, raised by 3 of 5 reviewers, centered on driver management, specifically the potential for unwieldy repositories and duplicate entries without automated checks. This suggests a need for more robust internal tools to maintain a clean and efficient driver environment. Additionally, 2 of 5 reviewers pointed to challenges with printer integration, particularly with older hardware, indicating that the system may struggle with a diverse range of legacy devices. Technical support responsiveness was also noted as an area for improvement by 2 of 5 reviewers, suggesting potential delays in issue resolution. These observations collectively suggest opportunities for Vasion Print to mature its administrative features, expand compatibility, and strengthen its support and monitoring tools.

Feature Gaps

We would like to move all of our print accounting into Vasion Print, but there are some features we use in Pharos that Vasion is still building out.

Driver Management

The repository can get a little unwieldy if too many people are adding drivers. An internal check to see if a driver for a particular printer is already available would be a nice feature.

Printer Integration

It had difficulty integrating a few older printers into the system.

We operate in a multi-office environment with remote employees, and before Vasion Print, print management was a nightmare and it also simplifies complex printing environments and makes everything smoother, we use the printer driver repository function daily, especially in our academic departments.

Pros

  • i love that Vasion Print lets employees set themselves up fast, which keeps the workflow smooth and avoids bottlenecks

  • the way it tracks usage helped us redistribute devices to meet demand and cut toner and paper waste

Cons

  • the setup takes a really long time
  • support is slow to respond

Likelihood to Recommend

I will recommend Vasion Print if you’re dealing with a lot of printers and remote users—it made our lives easier and it takes the IT team out of basic setups and lets users handle things on their own. Honestly, it solved a bunch of annoying issues we used to deal with daily.

Simplify printer management and enhance security with Vasion Print

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It has helped us to manage and streamline our printing infrastructure across multiple locations. It’s also the best since we can easily address security concerns by ensuring sensitive documents are only released at the printer by only authotized users. Also its support team is topnotch and always ready to solve any problem.

Pros

  • There’s ease of adding other printers
  • It minimise the risk of sensitive client information being left on the printer unattended.
  • It also has easy to understand interface and connects easily with other tools

Cons

  • It had difficulty integrating a few older printers into the system.
  • More robust alerting for printer errors or job failures would be helpful for proactive troubleshooting.

Likelihood to Recommend

It’s well suited as it centralizes print management without requiring on site servers.
Also it’s less appropriate since it’s advanced features maybe excessive for small teams that only need basic printing.

The best product with a great price

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Vasion Print (formerly Printer Logic) as a replacement for Microsoft's Windows Print Server. Since deploying, the solution has been great! We deploy a printer one time, then make sure the agent is installed on all computers, and the printer is automatically mapped to all appropriate computers. We recently learned that there are custom configurations for how often computers check in to the server for updates. This has allowed us to make sure all computers are up to date with the latest drivers and configuration standards desired.

Pros

  • Stable platform
  • Customizable configuration settings
  • Reasonable cost

Cons

  • Better documentation

Likelihood to Recommend

We evaluated four other options, before deciding on Vasion Print (formerly Printer Logic). The decision was easy when comparing them against their competitors' offerings. They have better features for a lower cost. Their deployment team was very helpful answering all of our questions and providing guidance on best practices. The post deployment support is better than most companies we deal with; they're always happy to help and respond quickly.

Great for End-User Installation

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to allow end-users an easy way to install printers they are allowed to use. It also helps us track usage across departments, which we are required to do for financial auditing purposes. Our campus uses a variety of devices and Vasion Print works well with all manufactures, even Apple and Microsoft devices.

Pros

  • Installation of printers by the end-user
  • Easy identification of printer locations
  • Automatic deployment of printers based on device hostname

Cons

  • CPA compatibility with Kyocera copiers
  • Technical support
  • More robust reporting, better ways to group users by department
  • Ability to choose the specific version of CPA client installed on each device

Likelihood to Recommend

Works well in environments where you may want users to install their own printers and they need to easily identify which printers are located near their area. In my experience, not great to use the CPA client though if you have a lot of Kyocera copiers, but works really well with Konica Minolta.

  • We would like to move all of our print accounting into Vasion Print, but there are some features we use in Pharos that Vasion is still building out.
  • The repository can get a little unwieldy if too many people are adding drivers. An internal check to see if a driver for a particular printer is already available would be a nice feature.
  • Direct authenticated release of print jobs from the printer device would be a nice feature.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is a very easy product to use and was quite straightforward to install and configure. We currently use the printer driver repository function the most heavily as end users in our academic departments access it pretty much every day. It was very easy to load on our endpoints and simplifies the process of getting the proper enterprise printers set up on departmental computers. Their customer support has been very helpful on the few occasions that we have needed to contact them. We currently are in conversation with Vasion about expanding the use of PrinterLogic/Vasion Print and have discussed various ways that it could be integrated with other printing support functions. They have been very interested in our use cases and ideas for building out the features in the product. We are very happy with the product and with the Vasion support and sales teams. The only thing I dislike about PrinterLogic/Vasion Print is that the repository can get a bit large and disorganized at times.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Previously, we were using a printer server. In this case, users were required to have administrator privileges/intervention in order to connect to a printer. Now, using Vasion Print, we are able to streamline printer connections by allowing users to choose which printer to connect to, among different locations, with no elevated privileges required.

Pros

  • Ease of use
