Most of the sites are WordPress and it's so easy to update multiple sites at once plus it isn't limited to Windows servers only – it supports many different Linux versions also and works with lots of different tools and platforms.

Easy to use Server Management Tool

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We wanted a user-friendly alternative to the famous cPanel for a web server.
It is easier to use and more intuitive, and the dashboard is modern.
There are a handful of valuable integrations, for example, an SEO tool kit and built-in backup functionality.

We can administer WordPress websites, themes and plugins from the dashboard without going into the WordPress backend.

Pros

  • Backup Manager
  • Database Manager
  • Plugin Manager
  • Application Manager

Cons

  • Better integration with independent WAF tools like Wordfence
  • Create a simple function for staging sites and to push from staging to live
  • Provide function to back-up DNS settings before making changes

Plesk is well suited for SMB/SME companies that provide managed services and website hosting, as you can connect both pieces of this puzzle using the platform. Plesk is the best server management tool currently, and very reasonably priced.

If you're a reseller and want the software to manage multiple client hosting accounts on reliable servers such as AWS or Google, or Digital Ocean, Plesk is a great choice. It's beneficial if your client uses WordPress or Joomla, as it has a lot of direct integrations/tools to support this.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Plesk enables us to manage multiple clients on the same server instance with ease. It's managing the creation of zones, file structure, and now even WordPress instances. After sites are up it manages resource utilization, security, and updates with ease.

Pros

  • Server management.
  • Web security.
  • WordPress management.

Cons

  • Advertisements for extra products are a bit too prevalent.
  • The occasional "bad update" has come through and broken things.

Plesk is really well suited for novices and experts alike. If you're not a person that speaks Linux, networking, or internet protocols - Plesk is perfect for you because it does the back-end work for you.

Sometimes, however, Plesk can be TOO simple and certain high-level tasks or extremely detailed/peculiar use cases can be difficult to maintain with Plesk. For the most part… anything you need to do can be handled by Plesk.
