Our company adopted PerformYard to solve the long standing problem of inefficiency with Performance Management. Our old process was a manual paper process that presented several problems but the main being: Bottleneck of routing for the paper reviews, and the cumbersome process to track reviews and execute them to the authors.

Pros

  • Customer Service! The service support is unmatched compared to other vendors! Our rep is nothing short of amazing with her timeliness, helpfulness, and ability to navigate the issues we encounter!
  • Streamlining automated reviews - Effortlessly send out a whole years reviews in one sitting!
  • Auto updating from our HRIS system - Automated SFTP integration with our HRIS system to auto update employee fields and keep the system up to date with less manual process!

Cons

  • I would like to see there be more functionality and customization with groups and review assignments
  • Reports are a bit hard to get at first, more easy on demand reports would be helpful

Return on Investment

  • PerformYard has had a positive impact on our business objectives as we can allocate more time to other items that we used to spend on Performance Management with that being automated and electronic
  • HR is able to have more productive conversations with managers about performance management without having to worry about discussing the process of it (routing, issues etc.) Our conversations with management are now geared towards how can they improve their performance management of their employees and how they can give better feedback

PerformYard really helps streamline the feedback loop between management and all other employees. Very easy to use and adds value. We schedule monthly 1 on 1s as well as quarterly and annual performance reviews in it in addition to everyone tracking their personal goals. It always loads fast and there was minimal training required for people to know how to use it because it was intuitive.

I use PerformYard to create and track employee goals. We also utilize it to give recognition to employees. It is extremely useful to keep up on employee anniversaries. My favorite thing about this platform is the ability for employee reviews. I love that the employee also does a self review, alongside the managers. The ability to track productivity and maintain open communication is wonderful!

  • The goals function can be a little tricky. I have a goal of zero, which looks like it is incomplete.

We use PerformYard for our Performance Review Process, goal setting, feedback tracking, and organizational structure. We are also exploring using it for compensation and bonus tracking.

  • We have smoothed out our Annual Performance Review process, including saving many hours of work preparing and executing the reviews.
  • I think we have become about 50% more efficient at moving through the Annual Performance Review Process.
  • I can confidently say that our employees and leaders are very satisfied with the PerformYard tool and process, I have heard more than 10 people directly saying it was much easier to use and more efficient than our prior process.
