We have handled anything from 300 - 1000 transactions and needed a scalable solution as our business has expanded.

Simple Menu updates
The ability to update taxes easily

PayPal Zettle is a good fit for companies needing to launch quickly and go with a trusted merchant solution. It is designed for smaller companies that need flexibility with deployment and less complicated implementations. You can be up in running in one day for a business that allows ease of use.
We run a non-profit bulk food store with our ministry, and have an online store. We use PayPal Zettle as our payment processor to conect to our POS system. I love that everything speaks to one another and that prices are automatically updated between the website and store POS.
Pros
It is a trustworthy platform, so customers feel comfortable using it.
I love how PayPal Zettle connects to our store and makes taking payments easy.
I love how Paypal Zettle takes multiple forms of credit card and is universal for our customers.
Cons
The fees are a little bit high, although all POS and payment systems do charge fees.
Sometimes signing in and getting things to connect through our web store can be a challenge. It is great once it is set up but downloading plug ins and setting up initially is a challenge.
We have in-store pick up items that customers pay for at pick up and shipped items which customers pay for through the PayPal Zettle portal at checkout. This was very confusing to set up. I wish there was an easier way to mark items as payment upfront and payment later.

We tried several different payment systems, and PayPal Zettle was the one that took the cake in the end. It is great for the web especially since it is so well known and trusted. Everybody knows the name "Paypal," and that's because of the great security and purchase protection they offer, which is another reason it is so well suited.
I use the PayPal Zettle card reader and related plugin for website CMS (Wordpress + WooCommerce). The card reader can accept credit and debit cards of major payment systems. By themselves, card readers have very similar functionality and capabilities. PayPal Zettle is one of the few solutions that allows you to manage a single inventory across platforms. By integrating PayPal Zettle with your website, product data and inventories are synced automatically.
Pros
Acceptable price
Simply manage a single inventory across platforms
A lot of payment options
Cons
Some payment methods are only available in specific countries

The basis of my business is an online store, which is a website with CMS Wordpress + WooCommerce. About 70% of orders, customers pay online, and only the remaining 30% upon receipt at the pickpoint orders, therefore main warehouse accounting is maintained in the website CMS. With a plugin for WooCommerce, PayPal Zettle is the easiest way to manage a single inventory across platforms and allows you to automatically sync product data and inventories.
Paypal Zettle is great POS option that makes it easy to process payments wherever and whenever. We needed a POS option that ties into our online eCommerce site, BigCommerce. Makes it easy to track and update inventory when items are sold. The system is very easy to use and setup.

And it is really helpfull on this kind of business for the facility and freedom to don’t have limits to use it. I think if the commission sounds great for you, use it!
PayPal Zettle is a nice point of service app that comes with all tools we need to efficiently process payments whenever and wherever. PayPal Zettle is well suited in situations where you are on the go and need to collect payment information so for example trade shows or pop up shops. Since most people don't carry cash nowadays this makes it extremely helpful to still gather those crucial payments.

I needed a POS solution that would integrate with our Big Commerce eCommerce platform to make my life easier as far as managing inventory that I sell both in-store and online. I also did not want to spend a lot on this solution since in-store sales are not as strong as they used to be. The hardware was inexpensive and offers everything I need: POS system that integrates easily, cash drawer, thermal printer, card reader, and barcode scanner. The POS is iPad based, and works very well.
Pros
Integration with eCommerce platforms
Ease of use
Low card processing costs
Low hardware cost
Speed of transaction processing
Speed of accessing funds
Cons
Documentation
Cannot use HTML for creating description

I absolutely LOVE this system. It is very fast and easy to use, and integrates with my eCommerce platform perfectly. Support is excellent and I rarely have any hold time when calling. I don't need to call often at all, but I did a fair amount when first setting up the system as the instructions are incomplete and quite limited. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The card processing fees are really low and the money is in my account quickly, even on weekends! I can either keep the funds in my PayPal account and access them with my PayPal business debit, or I can transfer them to my back (or a combination of these). The funds are always in my bank next business day. Also, it was one of the least expensive solutions out there as far as the hardware goes. There are a few minor issues on my "wishlist", such as being able to use HTML when creating the product description. I have to go into my eCommerce platform and edit the descriptions to match the overall look & feel of my other products that are not on the Zettle app. I highly recommend it!
I use it for both payment from a vendor where I perform and also to sell merchandise to customers. It's been wonderful to be able to offer a way for a customer to pay me without cash. Also, for businesses that hire me, they can pay with a credit card versus going through a lengthy process of invoicing, then sending a check and more. It has saved me time and has saved them time as well. It's easy to access on my phone so I don't even need the card reader anymore. I'm so glad that I have this option as it has increased sales for me.
Pros
Ease of use
It's immediate that I receive my payment
I can use it with a phone
I can use it with or without a card reader
Cons
If you only have an option of sliding a credit card through a card reader, it can keep showing errors
It would be nice to have a ready made receipt available to email the customer after purchase
Sometimes it's hard to know where to put the actual person or company name when they buy

Honestly, It has been fabulous for me as a musician at a live concert. Just recently, I played a gig where the person wanted to pay me with a biz credit card and it makes it so smooth to be able to do it right there--even before the concert begins. Plus, they can get a receipt emailed to them right away so all the proper paperwork is taken care of. I can do my gig with ease and know I'm already paid. The only place I can think of at the moment where it might be less appropriate is if a church asked for money with people coming around with this app. But otherwise, I think it can definitely improve your business profits.
We use PayPal Zettle as a means to process credit card payments for our small newspaper. We tend to run through about two transactions per day. The combination of a card reader and an app makes it much easier and less stressful to be able to process payments. Some of our payments range from under $10 to over $1,000. Having one consolidated system that feeds into our existing PayPal account is crucial.
Pros
Ease of Use
Immediate Payment
Good conflict resolution
Use of the app
Cons
Rates are relatively high
Should automatically send chip reader
Descriptions do not always show up in card statements

I recommend PayPal Zettle quite a bit, actually. Its flexibility is easy enough to use for people who are not used to technology. Square has good traits, too, but since so many people already have PayPal accounts, it makes it much easier to use. It is perfect for everyday use of bot large and small transactions.
We are a non-profit organization that hosts fundraisers off-site multiple times per year. Every year, fewer and fewer people carry cash and we needed a solution to encourage folks to still purchase items from the gift shop as well as easily donate. This was one of the solutions we tried and it worked for most of our situations.
Pros
Can be a quick way to pay with a credit card.
Is easy to use.
It is a brand name that the general public recognizes and at least mostly trusts.
Cons
Missing functionality: It doesn't work well when the cell signal is low, like in a large metal building. We really struggle with slow loading or transactions refusing to go through.
Ideally, we'd want an offline version, but obviously, that's not really possible. If it could function with a lower signal though, that would be a major improvement.
Likelihood to Recommend
I really struggle with it at certain events we do that are in low cell-signal areas. In higher signal areas, I don't usually have too many problems using it. And it's handy to be able to email or text receipts since as a charity, people can write off their donations and we don't have to worry about providing tax receipts. And they don't have to worry about keeping track of some little piece of paper while they're out and about enjoying the events.
