With the new developments within Paylocity we are always learning new ways to utilize the system. Our product assists us daily.

Paylocity is well suited for smaller scale companies that have more time to keep an eye on the little things. There are constant issue for our company in the benefits platform along with the taxes assistance. With a larger company that does not have an eye on the day to day, things would fall through the cracks and be out of compliance.

We have made Paylocity our main employee hub. We utilize the platform for everything from our employee management system to payroll to employee recognition and training. It has helped us centralize our services to make HR functions much more efficient and the user/employee experience much more centralized and accessible.
Pros
The knowledge base that Paylocity has is an incredible training and problem-solving tool. Anytime I have had an issue or not understood how to do something, I can usually use PEAK and find the answer in less than 10 minutes.
Paylocity's service team is great! They are quick to respond and easily accessible for issues that need to be escalated.
The recruiting and onboarding processes work so well together. From beginning to end, Paylocity makes the hiring process and onboarding process seamless for the employer and new employees.
Cons
There is room for improvement within the scheduling and time and labor functions. It seems that this system is designed more towards traditional work environments but is less aligned to industrial types of companies.
The communication for HSA and FSA is sometimes confusing and delayed. The service team is great at responding but I have found this division so take a bit longer and often not answer the question asked.

Paylocity has met our company needs well. We have been able to grow and utilize other areas that Paylocity offers over time which has helped us be more efficient and effective. Companies that have a smaller HR department or department of 1 can really benefit from the easy set up and enhanced features that take more work off the individual and more into automation of the system.

We use it for everything. For payroll, it's our HRIS system. It's a point of truth, that's what we call it. It handles our performance review process. It handles even our employee announcements. It's our engagement tool and really solves everything, compensation, bonuses, and the whole gamut. The only thing it doesn't do is our expenses.
Pros
Actually. I find that the product itself is just easy to navigate, so it is quite inviting for our employees, especially new ones coming into our company. It is very approachable. So I think that the layout, the way that it looks, the way you navigate it is quite friendly.
Cons
Honestly, there's only one big negative I have found with using Paylocity and it is our customer service. It is not that I can't get it, but I have to randomly call and we've even gotten into a trick that if the person doesn't sound confident in the answer, we just hang up and try again. It's not an ideal way to deal business, but we also enjoy the product and just want to work around it.

I think it's really well suited for our size business. It's really great for reporting, so I think it does that really well.

I use it for payroll, for onboarding, for recruiting, performance management, data analytics. It makes everything more electronic and I use it across the board for everything.
Pros
Payroll and expense reporting and onboarding all the way through to hiring.
Cons
The tax wizard could be a little bit more user-friendly, as well as attendance points on the app.

It's well suited on all areas of HR, especially payroll makes everything very streamlined where nothing gets forgotten. The employee navigator is really, really nice with it that I don't have to go to each individual platform to put in new enrollments.
We use this product for everything HR now. Everything was segregated and siloed before and now everything is in one system for all of our HR department and our managers and all of our employees
Pros
We have found that this is an amazing way to communicate to all 600 of our employees at once. It is also a great way to verify schedules very quickly. It's wonderful to be able to pull up information when I'm away from the office. Before, I could not access anything from our HR system unless I was in my office. So now I can do it wherever I am.
The recruiting and onboarding platform has been a lifesaver, also very easy to use and very user-friendly.
Cons
The scheduling system needs to also incorporate budgeted hours so that my retail managers know what to stay in line with for their labor budget.

I can't think of anything that this is not good for. We are a company that has 50 sites that are across two different states and it makes sure that we're compliant. It makes sure that we are able to reach all of those employees at the same time.
