Paylocity in our organization is utilize to process payroll, manage staff new hires, terminations, transfers, communication to and from staff within Community portal, manage benefit online sign up and approvals, manage pay and promotion approvals, time card entry from staff from their time clock, PTO accrual, PTO requests, FMLA & Leave tracking. Very comprehensive amount of data management for organization.
Pros
Payroll is simplistic.
Reporting is robust and allows for dashboard setup per user to have most important items at the top of the list.
HR data management.
Customer Service response time on the initial request is responded to timely.
Cons
As an experienced user it seems that the majority of items that are taken to customer service have to be pushed on to support team and not an immediate resolution. They will log your recommendation so that it can be potentially addressed in future update.
Quicker set up for connections to benefit vendors. This process is timely and more timely than I have been used to with other providers.
More general leadership tools as a part of Learning platform.
Likelihood to Recommend
1) Priced appropriately. 2) Robust system in general, can handle the majority of HR/Payroll/Compliance issue at hand. 3) Data analytics is very helpful and streamlined to have the information at the tip of your fingers without generation of reports. 4) A bit frustrating that at times, after 2-3 years of utilization, I am the Paylocity expert in the room. Should be getting information from Paylocity on the better ways to utilize their system to make me and my team more productive and want to keep Paylocity long term. Most times we ask for advice they will have a salesman talk with you about how you can get more done with more costly items to add to the system.
