Paylocity is used to address most human resource functions and we also use Paylocity for address payroll and many functions in this area as well. Paylocity has addressed many issues, one particular is any state changes/requirements are quickly brought to our attention. Paylocity has allowed both accuracy and efficiency.
Pros
I-9 processing
Regulatory updates within the States we serve
Suggestions with the many tools within the program that may not be utilized
Ready technical support and great customer care
Cons
Reports need a little more functionality. Ex. A new hire report should have the capability to include specific time frames without having to pull another report to get specific dates.

There are issues with all HRIS systems and I have worked with many, Paylocity is willing to work on any challenges and difficulties our organization encounters.
We use it to clock in and out, see our paychecks, tax forms, and hours worked.
Pros
It is very easy to punch in and out of work.
The paycheck updates / notifications are convenient.
Tax form information is easily accessible and user friendly.
Cons
Sometimes, it logs me out of my account, and I have to get a new password from my boss.

I feel Paylocity is extremely user friendly. I am able to clock in / out quickly. I can view the details of my paychecks whenever I need them. If I make a mistake, I can easily edit my punches. It is very convenient to be able to access work details whenever I need them. This comes in handy if work verification is necessary for something I am applying for. I don't find anything to be inappropriate regarding this app.
Paylocity is the primary communication platform for our employees. It helps like a kinda one one-stop solution, but not a completely one-stop solution.
Pros
Really good account manager support.
Community platform, like org wide announcements, employee recognition.
Self portal is easy for employees to use.
Cons
More Automation. Example for attendance points: If our policy states that disciplinary conversations will occur at 4 points, then there is a way to automate notifications to the supervisor and employees when they reach 2 points and 3 points as a warning or alarm.
More customization for workflows.
We integrated 360 for our COBRA in February, and even after a few months, the platform is still not working.
If there's an option in Paylocity to add a secondary person to get emails or messages from the prospective new hire when the primary person is out of office.
We have just started using the performance tool in Paylocity, and I found many manual steps that can be automated.
There's a lot of discrepancies in data flowing from one to another.
For E-Verify, once we complete onboarding, the status is displayed as 'completed,' and no further action is required. However, after a few months, we received a notice from e-Verify stating that we have a pending action in e-Verify. If there's a way we can get a notification from Paylocity on this, that would be great.

It is easy for employees to use, but not the same for administrators. There are discrepancies in the data, which require our time to manually check and ensure that the data has flowed to all required fields.
HR and Payroll management. Training modules for required annual anti-harassment training. Document storage, and time and labor modules. Mobile application for convenient on the go access.

I like that is a comprehensive system with great support, and not overly expensive monthly. It allows us to have remote work and be efficient at our jobs.

One of my clients uses Paylocity for payroll processing. The client is a small (50-person) non-profit with world-class systems, including Paylocity.
Pros
World Class Customer Support.
Intuitive Interface.
Solid Reporting.
Important reminders.
Cons
Provide detailed timing of "Run Payroll."

I think Paylocity is well suited for the SMB space but seems robust enough to handle the needs of larger organizations. Working with a smaller client, I am unsure of all the features required for enterprise customers.
Paylocity serves as our payroll and HRIS system for payroll processing, benefits, reporting, training, onboarding, offboarding and the liaison between the school and our 403(b) retirement plan provider.
Pros
payroll processing
talent aquisition
onboarding
Cons
response time
understanding of our unique issues
point of contact

Paylocity is new for us and is a huge improvement over our prior payroll/HR provider. We had a very smooth implementation planning and go live. Employees seem to be pleased with it. We have had some issues which have taken way too long to resolve and in some cases it doesn't appear that the Paylocity rep had a solid grasp of the problem
