Paycom works very well with small to mid size companies. Say companies under 5000 employees. It does not appear to have adequate tools for international work forces
I use Paycom basically daily to manage my company's onboarding, offboarding and hiring. I love the ease of the onboarding process along with the multiple reports you can generate from an HR perspective or time management perspective. Not only is the platform great, but the quick response from the Paycom team to support any questions you may have is amazing. I definitely recommend and will continue to recommend the Paycom platform to those in similar organizations.
Pros
Onboarding staff is simple
Managing schedules with ease
Generating multipurpose reports from an HR or financial/time management perspective is great!
Cons
Pre-populating Management/User Templates
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is fantastic for ease of onboarding and managing schedules. I love being able to blackout dates or list holiday dates with a batch function to simplify the process. The management of schedules is a huge win -- my scheduler is able to use Paycom to forecast or route commitments weekly.

We use Paycom for our HR platform. This includes payroll, training, document housing, I-9s, performance reviews, and benefits. All of our employees use Paycom report time. Our warehouse employees use a kiosk attached to Paycom for their punch clock. We also use Paycom to track our attendance points for our attendance policy. Our recruiting, from posting a job to applicant tracking, to job offers and onboarding processes runs through Paycom. Because this tool addresses all aspects of HR, it allows us to utilize one product and keep all of our information in one place.
Pros
Onboarding new hires
time keeping options from kiosk to geofencing
allows you to use it on whatever scale your business needs. Just for payroll or full HR functions
Cons
benefit support - the EDI file team is not helpful.
Exception point tracking - if you change your employees schedule, it updates that schedule from their start date, not the date of the change causing point tracking issues
Performance Management - each year you have to create new reviews for each review group.

Paycom does payroll and onboarding very well. They have streamlined that process and it is their wheel house. Some of the other advanced HR functions don't flow or match to the needs of different industries. For example, communication can be done through Paycom but only via email. Most of our employees are warehouse employees who don't check email and don't have a work email. Some of the features work great on a mobile phone and others do not, so again if employees are not desk employees, doing things like enrolling in benefits can be difficult.
Paycom is an integral part of our payroll and finance compliance. We use Paycom for reporting on a variety of business issues ranging from Workers' Compensation to complex Tax Reporting. Additionally, Paycom is a major part of our i9 and onboarding compliance and allows us to serve our employees and job applicants in an expeditious manner.
Pros
Customer service is US based and dedicated
Reporting assistance
Additional features such as BETI for payroll efficiency
Exceptional self-onboarding features
Cons
I would like to see more customer service hours, especially on weekends
Make more videos on how to run common reports such as workers compensation
Should offer more products such as Payroll loans with low interest to assist with cash flow

If you are looking for better use of and incorporation of technology into your business and more efficiency, Paycom is the way to go. You can limit expenses associated with HR personnel and Payroll analysis by incorporating many of the automation.
We use Paycom to handle our daily payroll and to maintain all personnel data for employees. It is used by the whole organization, and it addresses support orders, insurance issues and Texas Workforce Commission requirements.
Pros
Accurate computation of employee's pay record.
Quarterly Texas UI Tax Report filings.
Input of employee's wage garnishments.
Excellent response to management's concerns and Paycom guidance for external agencies request.
Cons
Access to quarterly and yearly documents for TWC.
Likelihood to Recommend
Expert payroll advise, training and initial indoctrination to Paycom are superb and our initial Paycom team were knowledgeable, helpful and professional.
We use most modules and the system allows for a unique solution to various aspects of the hire to retire cycle. The system allows for important oversight when it comes to compliance and improves employee engagement. The system also ensures that data entered for employees is accurate since employees know their information the best.
Pros
Learning Library
Product Enhancements
Compliance
Applicant Tracking
Benefits
Performance Management
Time and Attendance
Cons
Paycom is ambitious in its enhancements, but turnover of specialist means the learning curve is greater for them which diminishes service
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom provides a great suite of services to help run any business smoother as it covers well the hire to retire cycle. However, some of the modules that are affected by enhancements are not as impactful, and in some ways take away flexibility. Paycom also needs to focus heavily in California based compliance and ensure that the product is able to satisfy CA based companies better.
