We use this for our main HRIS, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Training system. It gives a one stop shop platform that allows team members and managers to complete all that is needed for Talent Acquisition, Training, and Performance Management documentation. I personally use Paycom to manage the learning management system. This helps us house all courses from AT&T and My Wireless.
Pros
One platform that allows you to accomplish Mutiple things at once.
Tracks reimbursements and mileage very easily for our frontline leaders
Allows us to assign courses that tie to knowledge.
Cons
The Training platform is limited on functionality. Cannot do Learning paths as simple as I want to.
It also has you leave the Training Management System to update course completion for a team member.

This platform is very easy to use, and it's a one stop shop for an HRIS system. It helps us with everything from Talent Management, Recruiting, Training, and Performance Management.
Paycom took our HR processes from 5 apps to 1 for our employees. The in depth implementation process helped us to customize Paycom to our personal business needs, making multi-store HR management a breeze. We are now much more consistent with our HR processes across the board because of our switch to Paycom.
Pros
Organization
Documentation
Onboarding
Multi-location HR management
Cons
PTO and time-off features are not fluid for hourly employees. (The majority of our employees are hourly) Definitely built with salary employees as a focus.
Scheduling tool could use some work!
No group chat feature for store communication.
Not fluent with QuickBooks as promised in the sales pitch.

Paycom is amazing for what we needed, fully customized HR processes that keep our managers and employees accountable to themselves and their own HR information, rather than placing the load on one person in a company. My experience with Paycom has been amazing, The only reason I didn't say 10, is because I wouldn't recommend Paycom if I felt that my friends business didn't need the extensive and detailed processes that Paycom has, or if I felt a colleague's needs didn't justify the cost. If you don't NEED the organization, Paycom is significantly more expensive than other providers.
We are a Nationwide Retailer with 53 stores in 26 states. The timecard errors we had in our previous system were cumbersome and challenging. The biggest improvements and uses for us are through the Time and Attendance modules and the Onboarding piece. We were doing everything with paper prior to making this switch. As you can imagine, rolling out a new HRIS to that many different locations could have been a nightmare, but we found the training we received and the ease of use, we have had minimal problems. We love the "Approve My Check" feature and I have found this to be extremely useful in cutting down Payroll errors and issues that would have to be fixed after the fact.
Pros
Onboarding
Time and Attendance
Employee User Interface
Reporting
Recruiting
Cons
Re-Hire Process
Locations in Recruiting
Workflows in Performance Discussions

I think Paycom is well suited for most organizations, especially where you have a lot of employees who have to clock in/out a lot. The ease of submitting Punch Change Requests and ensuring timecards are correct have been a huge change for our organization and one that has improved our timekeeping.
We use the PAYCOM platform for HR, Payroll, Benefits, COBRA, Onboarding, Open Enrollment, Expenses and GL
Pros
Advanced Report Writer is an amazing tool
The work flow process of using PAF's is a seamless process
Client service is exceptional
Cons
In displaying the effective dates for pay rates, it would seem more beneficial to display on form 1 rather than selecting another area to review the effective date.

My implementation process was definitely challenging as we had many modules to set up. However, my PAYCOM team was there every step of the way! Answered every question, provided training, and even came onsite to make some processes even easier. The system is user friendly and the work flow process was very well thought of in the creation of this platform.I'm excited to be a PAYCOM Client, and you will be as well!
I've recently started using Paycom with a new employer and it's been a great experience. I've had past experiences with self-managed solutions and immediately see the value in partnering with Paycom. As an employee, I feel more empowered to make changes for myself and appreciate the ability to change what I want on my own timeline. I also enjoy the paycheck review feature; great idea to make sure my check and deductions are what I expect them to be. From a manager's standpoint, the application has worked well and I'm able to manage my team with ease and speed. Overall it's been a great experience and fully supports our partnership with Paycom.
Pros
Check Approval
Action-based emails (PTO approvals with a click)
Self-service account management
Cons
Would like to learn more how to leverage Paycom University

My overall experience with Paycom has been great. I appreciate the little details like e-mails when action is required and appreciate that I can click a link to approve PTO without having to log in any further, making my life much easier. The power given to the users empowers the individuals and allows HR teams to focus on other areas, leaving Paycom to their area of expertise.
I do not see any problems with my profile and services. I see some complications/hassles with the client-side login provided. Batch approval of time off requests does not work many times. Batch approval of goals was not possible and when we approve a goal, it navigates back to the main list and we have to search for the next goal to approve and it is a time-consuming process. A single page to update goals for performance and development using drop-down menus and comment sections can be of much help.
Pros
Time Management.
Information & Documents.
Checklists, Performance management.
Company Information.
Cons
Bulk approval of time off requests.
Bulk approval of performance goals using a drop-down and comment section.
Bulk approval of development goals.
Likelihood to Recommend
For personal management, it feels fantastic. For client-side login, it needs some tweaks.
Paycom is currently used by our business as an HRIS. Implementation went smoother than expected, and system is capable of handling our complex compensation structure, which is hard to do! We receive great customer service and have been happy with the product for the ~1 year that we've been using it.
One area of improvement for Paycom, and a function that I wouldn't particularly recommend is the Background Check Platform. It isn't as robust as other vendors, and didn't prove to be worth having it 'all in one system'.
Pros
Payroll.
Position seat specific setup.
Customer service.
User interface.
Electronic onboarding.
Cons
Details on paystubs.
Background check.
No functionality to "text" candidates via HRIS.

Paycom is a great solution for a midsized company. They can handle complex comp, such as piece-pay which is a huge win. For an all-in-one solution, we've been very happy.
Paycom is being utilized for the entire Human Resources Operations lifecycle. From the applicant tracking system to the onboarding documentation and everything in-between, Paycom was one single source of record for us.
This allowed us to integrate on to one platform and conduct our business there.
Pros
Onboarding.
ACA reporting.
Payroll.
Applicant tracking.
Cons
Better scheduling system for retail environments.
More user friendly ATS.
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall, I found Paycom to be a very good solution for our business. We were struggling to find one system that not only was functional, but had provided excellent customer support.
Pros
Implementation was a breeze. Out of my 5 times doing this in multiple organizations, this was the easiest.
Great Customer Service
System is easy to use
Ad Hoc Reporting is very strong
Cons
Applicant tracking system is a bit lacking - would have liked more functionality
We have three retail locations and a corporate administration office. Managers in all stores use Paycom scheduling as well as onboarding. We have a media manager that uses the talent management and recruiting forwarding applications to the appropriate manager for interviewing and an onboarding / training manager that travels from store to store to onboard and start the training of new employees. I review timesheets and process payroll. The reporting section of Paycom is also a valuable tool for all parts of HR.
Pros
Flexible reporting.
Timeclock Kiosks that allow comments.
On time accurate payroll.
Cons
I have never mastered the GL concierge and use my own spreadsheet report.
I struggle with ACA and all it's moving parts.
Have an issue that Paycom's upload dates of 401k contributions don't coincide with the 401k company received dates.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is super sophisticated and can handle most every scenario.
