So payroll is my number one use for Paycom, but everything integrates into that. Our timekeeping system, even the budgeting goes into that. Everything's integrated. It's so nice, the applicant tracking. I love that. I love to be able to do everything from hire to retire through Paycom
Pros
So payroll is very intuitive. It catches you from making errors that most people would make in payroll. The last step of the payroll before you submit actually gives you possible errors, makes you double check. So that part's great. And then just the applicant tracking piece of it, the way that it's seamless and fully only has to put in their information one time and it feeds all the way through even to when they're hired, they don't have to refill anything out.
Cons
I have little things and I make my product suggestions, the improvement suggestions through my rep. But most recently I would love if whenever we paid out a manual check to an employee, it would prevent that same pay to be from being pulled into a payroll automatically.

I feel like it's well suited for everybody. I mean, I've never worked in a giant company. We're a small company and it works for us. I've talked to other people that are in giant companies who use Paycom and love it too. So really I can't say enough good things about Paycom. They've always been good to me, so I'm a loyal client.

We process payroll, onboard new hires, handle performance reviews, employees enter timecards, benefits open enrollment and qualifying life events, we utilize it for Performance Issues.
Pros
Paycom set-up the system to where you can easily process payroll, and employees can approve their own paychecks so there are never any issues. Expenses/Timesheets/Time off requests flow over nicely to Payroll

We are using HR, Onboarding, Time Management, Expenses, and Certification tracking. Our business has had multiple systems over the years but never one that could manage each day-to-day activity that we conduct. Our employees are all over the USA working in the field and are managed from different areas. I use the reporting system to help with financials.
Pros
Time Management.
Communication
Training on each process of the system.
Cons
Custom Reports build out formats of reports that make better sense with less data on them.
Project Reporting just makes it easier to click on a project and get the history of the project.

Paycom (Perry Watson) has been the most reliable one-on-one person that I, in 33 years, have ever had to work with. Paycom's platform is great, user-friendly, and easy to explain to employees who are not tech-savvy. Employees love the part where they get to see their check and approve it before they ever receive it. Our company is very different, and Paycom has helped me build a system where it is going to save time and money going forward.
I am responsible for managing human resources including the payroll process. I use Paycom on a daily basis to perform my job more efficiently so that I can focus on more value-added aspects of human resources.
Pros
The payroll process is user-friendly.
The employee self-service portal using the app or computer engages employees.
The implementation was very structured and went well.
Customer service has been exceptional.
Cons
Billing isn't easy to understand and I have had some issues.

I was sold Paycom as a payroll service that would be up to date on California payroll laws. What I found out is that Paycom is payroll software, and it's up to you to learn how to use its incredibly complicated software and get it to work with California laws. We use the Timekeeping (glitchy), payroll, expenses, scheduling, HR, and talent acquisition functions. The expenses were sold as highly customizable, but the reports they use do not show any of the custom fields you created unless you run a custom report, so you lose the ability to sort the information in a meaningful way. I turn off the expense portion since it has never worked or imported into my QuickBooks correctly, and they removed all access to past reporting, so I've lost a year of expense backup.
Pros
Sales
Cons
Access to people who know how to use the software
Honesty in the sales process
Access to the tax department to fix issues
Quick response to problems
Following through with employee promises
Likelihood to Recommend
The people you work with do not know how to use their own product.
We currently use Paycom across the whole organization and utilize their services for Benefits, On-boarding, HR paperwork,Time & Attendance, Payroll, Garnishments, Surveys, and Training.
Pros
Payroll
Time & Attendance
Custom fields in the system for tracking DOT information
Custom Applications
Cons
Applicant system has improved but would like to see it get a little more user friendly
Background Checks - MVR's are not DOT compliant for all states
Archiving schedule needs to be more compliant for semi-monthly
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom has improved our payroll process and they still come out with more updates every year. The background checks could use improvement.
