Paycom was our payroll processor for 100+ employees. Employees are full-time and part-time, salaried and hourly. All are located in the state of CA in one location.
Pros
User friendly mobile app.
Reporting.
Intuitive navigation and admin use.
Cons
Cost
Integration with retirement providers.
Implementation time.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is easy to use and manage. Can handle a large number of employees and both salaried and hourly workers. The implementation can be long, as with all payroll implementations. The cost is on the higher end, but the mobile app and investment in technology can make the price worth it.

I utilize Paycom's applicant tracking system for recruitment purposes. Our business uses it for sending our surveys and performance reviews. Staff are also able to update their personal information as well as management updated employee information. PAFs are one of my most favorite features to be able to change multiple sections of an employee demographic in one swoop.
Pros
Notifications for staff
PAFs
Applicant Tracking System
Cons
Making the finalize and submit icons more noticeable. Some icons are easy to miss
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is very user friendly for both employees and employers.

Paycom is our employee management system and payroll provider. We use it to handle all of our employment taxes and benefits enrollment & administration. In conjunction with hiring platforms, it's our primary HR resource.
Pros
Employee management options
Benefits enrollment process
Taxability based on location
Payroll
Cons
Customer service consistency
Issue resolution
User interface improvements

Paycom is a great tool that provides all the necessary functionality to manage employees, administer payroll and benefits, and handle all necessary taxes. We're currently working on open enrollment, and I'm a one-person show. I'm glad to be able to roll over last years' benefit plans and allow employees to continue their elections year to year. Payroll is also a breeze with simple grid layouts and clear deduction assignments.
There are other areas where I do not believe Paycom is well-suited, such as for larger organizations with hundreds of employees. The options to classify employees are robust, but sometimes clunky to use. It's unclear where some classifications will be shown and the number of options can be overwhelming without clear mapping.

We moved payroll to Paycom in 2017. Since that time we've gradually added applicant tracking, position management, benefits enrollment, and performance management. This past June we started using Paycom for our criminal background checks. We are now completely paperless for everything including onboarding, benefit enrollment, performance reviews and background checks. No longer do we have to upload background check results to Paycom as they are stored automatically. It's been a huge time saver and works seamlessly within applicant tracking and onboarding.
Pros
Onboarding
Benefit Enrollment.
Annual Increases.
Cons
We have not upgraded to Beti due to additional cost.
Likelihood to Recommend
Applicant tracking, background checks, paperless onboarding, and E-Verify work seamlessly. One challenge we are still addressing is student workers who perform two or more jobs on campus at different pay rates.
We use Paycom to process our monthly and semi-monthly payrolls, to track time for our hourly employees, for compliance, and for benefits enrollment. Before Paycom, a lot of the process was manual and so time-consuming. We can now upload data from a spreadsheet, reducing our margin of error. The employee self-service feature is fantastic. It allows employees to view their pay stubs, request time off, and update their personal information. We no longer have to contact all our benefit vendors to update this information. We have the EDI feature, which has been extremely beneficial. The reports are great for analysis and have been easy to create.
Pros
Great customer service and support
Scalable to meet our needs and beyond
User-Friendly
The automation is great
The employee self-service encourages employees to do it themselves.
Cons
I would to see even more customization for our complex business
The ability to remove old or unapproved time-off requests
A more thorough example or assistance with general ledger mapping
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is well-suited for handling any payroll. I feel so confident that it's going to be done correctly every time. We have multiple tax reporting and have never had a problem. The reports have helped tremendously with different audits, and the compliance is top-notch. I'm hoping we can soon work to get our general ledger mapping done. However, Paycom has been a great investment for us!
We use Paycom for all the things - From Payroll, to Hiring, to housing documents, to scheduling. We love having so much of our business in one place!
Pros
Ease of use
Employee involvement
Reporting
Cons
Too much information

From start to finish, my implementation team was so helpful and patient. Our business is unique in so many ways and they were always accommodating! The process was not only seamless for me, but for my staff as well. I cannot recommend this company and this process enough!
It's our payroll system, so we use it daily. We use it to run payroll, post job ads, hire applicants, conduct employee performance reviews, manage employee timecards, employee's can login and update demographic or direct deposit information, manage leaves for employees, employee garnishments, applicant tracking, benefit enrollment, manage COBRA events, and run reports for employee info or payroll.
Pros
Beti - payroll
Applicant Tracking
Processing Payroll
Cons
lower annual fee for those companies that have been with them for more than 5 years.
getting to keep our implementation team - they were fantastic
not lower the employee participation when admin makes a small change
Likelihood to Recommend
When we run payroll we love that Beti puts more responsibility on employees to review their timecard and approve their checks, thus making less likely for errors when we do run payroll. I do not like that when we make a small change for an employee on on of their forms it lowers our employee usage score.

We use Paycom for all our payroll, hiring , onboarding, termination. employee changes, benefits. We had a very complex system before Paycom and Paycom has enhanced the way we do things. Paycom has addressed all our issues in a timely manner.
Pros
Tracking system - Payroll is very efficient in the way they track payroll
New hires - very user friendly on getting new hires in the system
Applicant tracking - keeps accurate records of who has applied for open positions.
Contract templates - user friendly on creating templates for employees contracts
Cons
Create a way to edit/recall a PAF form
Answering phones calls could use some improvement

I feel that Paycom is very well suited in all areas of Human Resources. We are a school and we have a lot of unique scenarios that can sometimes be complex and Paycom has been very helpful in getting these issue addressed. My only complaint is that it's sometimes hard to talk to someone on the phone when you have an immediate need or just a quick question.
Our organization uses Paycom to address a variety of human resources business needs such as timesheet management; clocking hours; PTO; benefits; required training; employee policies; onboarding; payroll-related items, such as hourly rates, pay stubs, tax information; and there is a mobile application that makes life a little easier on-the-go. There is a management portal that makes time and labor management simple.
Pros
Payroll
Benefits management
Talent management
Cons
Clearing notifications. Every year I do my benefits enrollment on time and submit them. They are active; however, I cannot clear the notification for benefit enrollment in Paycom. It has been this way for a few years. Each year has a new notification for the new year and the old notification finally disappears, but I cannot get rid of the current year notification. This could be caused by an end-user error.
Web timesheet says "read only" but this is where you go to actually submit your time. This may be something HR can customize.
It would be nice to see paid holidays when requesting PTO. My employer may just need to add it to a calendar or document in Paycom.

Paycom is an excellent all-in-one HR tech solution suitable for most enterprise companies. Limitations may result from a lower tier package chosen by an employer or an employer simply not updating the platform completely. Small to medium-sized businesses may be better suited with ADP products. Paycom is a solid choice to optimize HR management, payroll, and talent acquisition.
I use it as an employee and a client. Some of the business problems are as follows; every time there is a glitch when there is an update. For example, this time, we can not click on the exemption for the social security tax for teachers manually. When a new hire is entered into the system by another HR personnel, I cannot see it on my end unless I log in and out. There are no reports on age and commute.
Pros
Reporting
Documentation
User-friendly
Cons
More Manage List such as Location
