Pros
Efficient payroll processing and automation
Advanced, customizable reporting tools
Responsive customer service with dedicated specialists
Intuitive employee self-service interface

Cons
Reporting customization and data accuracy issues
Inconsistent customer service quality
Challenges with advanced 401k and stock option integrations during implementation
We utilize Paycom's payroll and onboarding features. Paycom's payroll processing is seamless considering we do not utilize their time and attendance. We come from the Staffing Industry where our payroll and billing is unique and requires us to use our own time and attendance platform. We have no issues importing the hours for payroll, the ease of importing large amounts of payroll information using templates has streamlined the payroll process as well. The electronic onboarding has removed all paper documentation, and we enjoy that we have visibility to each employee's HR files right at our fingertips. Everything is clean, seamless, and streamlined. We also never have to worry about downloading the most recent tax forms to provide to our employees, Paycom takes care of this for us as well.
Pros
Customer Service Support
Reporting
Batch editing/filtering abilities to make changes quickly for large amount of employees at one-time
Payroll Processing
Onboarding
Cons
Visually, Paycom updated the layout which I feel could be better. It seems a bit messy to the eye.
Wish there was a place to insert notes.
2 factor authentication is a bit excessive at times
The email login credentials on employee side does not work
Likelihood to Recommend
Our designated Payroll Rep visits often to discuss any issues, tell us about any new products we may be interested in, and have Paycom Learning sessions to help us utilize all of Paycom's functionality. The documents and checklists I find to be very confusing.

We use Paycom for payroll and HR services. It has been a welcome change from ADP where it used to take hours to run payroll and now I can do it in minutes.
Pros
Ease of use - Self managed HR or any modifications its quicker than ADP
Reporting- The reports are easier to use and customizable
Navigation within app - It's just better in every way
Cons
Little more flexibility with the employee self service for employees who refuse to use it.

I can honestly say that Paycom has saved me countless hours compared to ADP. The ease of use and the fact that its employees know what their talking about the first time makes it a night and day difference from ADP.
We use Paycom to onboard new employees, track PTO accruals, expense management, timesheet entry, benefit management, general ledger reporting, payroll processing, offboarding, etc.
Pros
Customer Service
Benefit Management
Expense Management
PTO Accruals
Cons
Request submissions are offline via a form rather than interactive online
Rotating door of client service representatives

They provide a one-stop shop for all things HR and Payroll. Great tool and great team!

We began using Paycom in July 2021. This was supposed to be start of Q3, but Paycom failed to set up our account timely, so the service began on our 3rd payroll run for the quarter. The experience was disastrous, wrought with too many errors to enumerate, so we cancelled after only 2 payroll runs. Our requests for help and complaints received little response. We have a pay-as-you-go worker's compensation payment plan with our insurance carrier. In my opinion they failed to inform us that they would not support that plan, but that we would need to run the WC report ourselves and make the payments on each payroll run. We would have never contracted the service had we known.
Cons
Implementation. They failed to meet our deadline and set poor expectations of what was needed to be set up for an accurate payroll run.
The web portal is cumbersome. There seems to be a lot of functions, but there was little support in training to use it. We were provided one hour of training and then were told to run the first payroll and see how it goes. While the web portal seems to be chock full of features, it's difficult to navigate the basics of employee entry and entering basic earning information.
Customer support. Our repeated cries for help were ignored or the response time was poor, sometimes requiring a third or fourth request for help before our voice was acknowledged.

Our experience with Paycom was an abomination. Our account was set up with numerous errors resulting in numerous payroll errors for both payrolls that were processed with them. When we switched back to our former provider, the reports for our employees' earnings were incorrect, which resulted in further reporting errors in our employees' paycheck stubs. 2 people resigned over the payroll errors, having lost confidence in our company. I cannot overstate our horrendous experience. DO NOT CONTRACT THIS COMPANY TO PROCESS YOUR PAYROLL.
Paycom is being used across our whole organization. It offers a one stop shop for all HR, Payroll, Benefits and Compliance. This has been instrumental in the improvement of our processes.
Pros
Dedicated Service Teams are Great.
Easy to Navigate the Platform.
Ability to Toggle Between Companies.
Cons
Once you understand how to use the system it is consistent between modules.
Personnel Action Forms are a bit clunky.
LMS module pricing is inhibiting.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is an easy one stop shop for an HRIS/Payroll system. Multiple different modules that are consistent with the platform and easy to use. Great for managing multiple companies out of one platform, and great customer service.

Our company implemented Paycom in 2016 and use it daily with continued ease and success across most of our organization including internal employees, Human Resources, Contract/temporary employees, and our clients who approve payroll time weekly for our contract employees. The software is efficient and easy to use for everyone involved. We also use Paycom for our annual benefits enrollment, which has simplified the process greatly.
Pros
Time and attendance management.
Expense management.
Benefits enrollment.
Cons
I don't have any examples that affect my daily use.
Likelihood to Recommend
We have multiple clients with contract employees who enter time weekly into Paycom. The ease of that time entry and approval by our clients has helped us tremendously.
Paycom is used across the entire organization. It solved all of our needs including Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Time and Attendance, Benefits, Talent Management, Reporting and compliance.
Pros
Single sign on platform - employees can access everything in one place.
Learning & Development Tool - we can use stock content or upload and distribute our own.
Customer service - the dedicated professional, Devan, is exceptional.
Cons
Having a Commuter Benefit plan option.
Ability to have custom needs by client versus looking at what everyone needs.
Ability to build a more comprehensive onboarding program.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is well-suited for US-based companies who want a provider that can provide all modules in one place. It is much more efficient over having multiple platforms for different HR items.
It does not have a great solution for Canada employees.
Our company uses Paycom for Time and Attendance, Ad Hoc Reporting, and to help with Benefits Administration. Both Operations and Human Resources use it. It helps us keep track of payroll for sites throughout the southwest region. This allows site managers, directors, and other operations leaders to upload payroll information before the deadline for HR to review and audit in time for submission.
Pros
User-friendly layout
Customer Service is very responsive
The reporting feature allows for custom fields
Cons
Information on reports is sometimes missing or erroneous
Report generation is difficult to navigate
Employees forget login information ALL THE TIME
Likelihood to Recommend
Services industries would benefit well from Paycom. I would believe that janitorial, landscaping, security, and other service-related companies/industries would be able to use Paycom features quite well. It allows multiple sites to enter time and attendance while auditing functions allow for precise payroll submission. Their ATS feature was satisfactory but clunky on many features that other providers have streamlined.
We currently use Paycom for an applicant to apply for an open position, onboarding, training, benefits, time and attendance and performance and comp. As our company continues to grow in different cities, we have found PayCom allows for a simple, easy to use interface that can be accessed anywhere. With the recent additions of the app and the platform growing and being fine-tuned each and every day, it makes the user experience very nice and easy.
Pros
Easy onboarding checklist to ensure you have completed all required documents
LMS platform that allows the user to jump right into training day one on the job, no matter where they are
The ability to have a place where you can easily document good and bad things going on with an employee through performance and comp, which allows for easy access and review during formal employee reviews.
Cons
Improve the reporting on the client side so that it is more intuitive of what report you need to run. Right out of the box it can be difficult to find the report that you need. However, once you find the report you can easily save so then you can just go back and re-run the report.
Some way to easily visualize accruals and balances real-time vs. what has processed through Payroll would be helpful. This isn't a show stopper, as you can do the math, but at first glance it can be easy to misunderstand the report.

If you are looking for a single platform that can do it all, then Paycom is the best solution for you. The one nice thing about the Paycom Platform compared to other platforms, such as ADP, is you aren't buying a certain version or platform. You are buying the Paycom platform that every other user uses. We have been on a platform where it wasn't the same across all users from one company to another. This became frustrating for support as well as user use. Now with Paycom, it doesn't matter because everyone sees the same thing.
Paycom is the best product on the market. It is so easy to use for anything HR or payroll related. Love the product and would highly recommend it to any business, small or large. Customer service is unheard-of. You actually speak to a live person within minutes of calling.
Pros
Paycom customer service is the best around. When you call, you speak with a live person within minutes.
