Parse.ly is being used by the whole organization, specifically by our content teams. They use it to monitor traffic and see what is performing well, what is struggling, and what we should write more of.
Pros
Real time analytics
Shows multiple filters with ease
Easy to use
Cons
Author doesn't update along with an article.
Limit on the number of time periods that can show at once.
Deeper analytics can become confusing.
Likelihood to Recommend
For journalists and content creators wanting to see how their content is performing.
For anyone who needs to see their website's strengths.
It is less appropriate if you want extremely detailed insights into your articles.
Parse.ly is being used across the whole organization. It is used on a weekly basis to track content performance and the bookmarklet tools is used regularly to check the performance of specific articles. It addresses the issues of content monitoring, and provides more data than Google Analytics in terms of engaged minutes and social media referrals with accuracy.
Pros
Easy to segment dashboards based on search terms and over periods of time.
The ability to click on particular features of the dashboard (eg referrals) to drill down to more data.
The bookmarklet tool is ideal for quick access to specific pieces.
Cons
Being able to download the graphs from the dashboard rather than just exporting raw data to a CSV file.
Being able to sort search results by date published.
Including LinkedIn stats as part of the main dashboard report.
Likelihood to Recommend
Parse.ly is particularly useful for content management reporting, particularly on specific segments or categories. The dashboards are clear and intuitive to use, and the ability to drill down to more information is fantastic. I also appreciate the way Parse.ly provides regular updates for users along with calls with account managers.

We use Parse.ly to measure the performance of our blog. Parse.ly shows us top articles by a variety of metrics like read time and helps us see which posts are performing the best and which are rising stars.
Pros
Easy to use
Easy to implement
Great support
Highly visual
Get answers way faster than using Google Analytics
Cons
Would love conversion funnel tracking
Likelihood to Recommend
Parse.ly is designed for measuring the performance of your content, typically blog posts or other longer-form articles. It's much easier to use and set up than something like Google Analytics which has limited charts and takes a ton of configuration. The downside is it's mostly for blogs, we don't use it to track the performance of landing pages on our site.
We use Parse.ly to track all of our articles on our websites. We mostly look at visitors and average visitors over a historical period to get benchmarks and compare them to each other. We look for growth stories and to see if articles about a certain event do better than the average article. Only a few people in our organization use Parse.ly, those on the research and analytics team.
Pros
User-friendly Interface
Good Reporting - easy to use!
Cons
I am new to the industry so I don't see any room for improvement yet!
Likelihood to Recommend
Parse.ly is great for collecting benchmarks of average performance done on your articles and then using that to compare to a specific set of articles. When we are trying to get a client to buy an ad with one of our articles about the Olympics, for example, we look at performance of Olympics articles and compare to our benchmark.

We track how our site is performing. This could be on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. We also track where our traffic is coming in from. Typically, this is utilized by our Marketing and Editorial team. The data allows us to make analytical decisions on where to go from an Editorial, Product, and DTC Marketing perspective.
Pros
Very clean UX
Data works well
Site works extremely well
Cons
I'd like to be able to break out our data a little bit more.
I'd like to have new ways to categorize things.
We could have a better understanding of our current state.

We have a content-driven site, and we're going to be scaling this in the near future. It would be great to have some type of functionality that would allow us to make decisions that would help with this. I'd also like to track things from a user level. Unsure if that's possible?
We use Parse.ly to manage digital analytics for a publishing client in tandem with Google Analtytics. The platform is great in simplifying web analytics into content marketing engagement analytics that our clients can easily reference and review in their day-to-day workflow. It helps us to provide website data that is contextual for an editor or content marketer who only needs to quickly reference high-level performance metrics without having to get lost in the bells and whistles of Google Analytics settings.
Pros
Data visualization of high-level site performance metrics
Simple interface reduces the complexity and hurdle to understand digital analytics
Easy to view top-performing content and content categories
Cons
Daily histogram view not always the best view when looking at historical performance
Not the best platform to use when comparatively analyzing historical performance
I would love to see month over month or week over week performance vs only daily performance histogram chart
Likelihood to Recommend
Parse.ly is well suited for a media publisher or any other company that publishes content daily. I also think it's one of the best platforms out there for people who are not digital analytics savvy and only need to view high-level metrics that affect decision making and reporting within content marketing teams. It is less appropriate for businesses that have an analytics team or anyone that is skilled in digital analytics.
