What is Orbit?

Orbit is a community growth platform that scales the impact of companys' communities of users, advocates, and contributors. Orbit aims to help increase revenue and retention, accelerate product adoption, and give each department a holistic view of the member activities they care about. With Orbit, community professionals can:
  • Prioritize valuable interactions: Embrace a new framework for community growth that encourages deep, high-value engagement. The Orbit model measures and increases gravity, the force that binds community members and incentivizes them to take action that leads to revenue. Users are notified automatically when a member joins, interacts with a product or community, or is at risk of becoming inactive, and can recognize them with rewards according to their Orbit level (their proximity to the most active base of the community) or provide incentives to re-engage.
  • Prove the ROI of community: Draw a line from community to revenue and retention by measuring members’ love and reach, two key metrics that show how community activity impacts company growth metrics. Orbit tracks activities that increase love and add value to the community, like providing valuable advice, chatting in Discord, giving praise on Twitter—anything deemed a positive interaction. It also measures reach, or how much influence each user has in the community. Orbit makes it easier to visualize this data using integrations to attribute conversions, deals, and renewals to the work of internal community professionals.
  • Scale community insights: Break down silos with a holistic view of a community and its impact on each business function. Orbit unearths insights that equip sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams to achieve their goals faster—one glance at the platform’s auto-updated and tagged member profiles tells the whole story of past interactions, interest level, contributions, and more (even before they’re entered into a CRM as a traditional sales lead). Users can connect to tools like Discord, Slack, and GitHub for a consolidated view of each member’s activity and use insights to build more user-centric products.
  • Accelerate adoption: A community can be used to educate new users, drive early and frequent product usage, and speed up product-led growth. Orbit lets users target members with relevant content, encourage the biggest champions to share best practices, and analyze community conversations to understand potential barriers to adoption. Integrations can be used to add in-product behavioral data to member profiles and give customer success a comprehensive view into customers’ activity.
  • Find advocates and ambassadors: Identify champions and potential contributors with a single click. Orbit levels help identify people who are willing to share their expertise or spread the word about products, whether by beta testing, creating content, giving referrals, or contributing to open-source projects. The Orbit Model makes it possible to measure community-driven leads produced by these advocates, expanding acquisition beyond traditional MQLs and SQLs.
  • Automate administrative tasks: Orbit helps to encourage more natural, impactful interactions without the costly manual upkeep. Orbit’s API connects data from everywhere members interact, automatically enriches it and merges it into a single profile, and identifies activity that requires a response from the user's team. Automate reward distribution and recognition, speed up content creation, and personalize messages based on lists, filters, and tags.
