Primavera Unifier

I am a developer who developed multiple business processes as per customer demand for cost management, document management, and resource management. I have used the product in a construction domain company.

Well suited: Used for construction domain for management of multiple vendors and sites. Used in cost management in energy domain company Not suited for: Partner users- once the company is inactive, all users will be inactive.

I am a developer and I have developed many businesses process for cost management, resource management and document management. For example payment application, budget transfer, budget revision . Used in construction domain for analysing and storing data for managing vendor and sight management.

As I already mentioned in previous questions like this tool is very suitable for energy and construction domain project. It is well suited for the cost management, resource management and document management. But little less appropriate for request for bid and third party customers.

When it comes to construction management software, Primavera Unifier is the industry standard. Every year the product continues to improve. Basically, Unifier is a framework application and you basically pick what you want. Meeting Minutes, RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders, Payment Requisitions are just a few of the modules available in the application. Anything related to the project can be stored and should be stored in the application. Basically, one-stop access to everything. Recently, vast improvements have been made with the import feature to bring in module information (RFI's, Submittals, etc.)

Primavera Unifier is well suited as a document management system for managing construction projects from all phases of the project (design through construction). Linking the application to other Oracle products like Oracle Financials is very straight forward and easy.

Again, you build the framework of what you want the application to use. Not using Procurement, no problem, just throw it off. You have control of want you want and don't want. You are not forced to used everything.

Unifier is currently being used in our Gas Transmission and Distribution department for project management and to track cost impacts. It addresses the ability for project oversight and visibility for those involved.

Unifier is great for project management in regards to enhancing existing business processes and to allow vendor input. It can be a hassle to use for document management.
