Oracle process cloud has been a major part of our company
especially in the marketing and IT department. and it is helping us out in
accomplishing the digital and technological demands of our organization and it
is a time saver. We can integrate it with 3rd platform and it just not be
necessarily an Oracle product. Since we have automated our applications using this
tool we have observed some meticulous outcomes that we didn’t anticipate. and
in our departments, we have not just automated processes but also ensured
security as well.
Pros
The way we have automated our processes and variety of applications is just amazing.
The way it helped in ensuring the security of data is another benefit of it we can have a data backup.
We can link it up (integrate) it with other platforms and it's not a big deal if that 3rd platform is not an Oracle product.
It allows offline features too in other words if we have been doing something offline, it immediately syncs that when we get online again.
Cons
I feel that at some point it lacks advanced analytics.
Licensing is pathetic and expensive.
Price is a lot for small setups.
Customer support is not as I was expecting it to be.

This tool is handy not just in implementation but also in
usage that even a non-IT person can use it. The way it automates processes
makes things quite easy and efficient for a company either big or small but in
my opinion, its pricing wouldn’t allow a small setup to get this tool and get
their job done with the assistance of this tool. But apart from that, it is a
reliable and scalable tool that allows integration as well.
By department. Helping to integrate discrete systems. Use Case: File transfer between third party bank vendor—Kyriba systems with the Peoplesoft System hosted on the OCI. The OIC servers as an integrator between the above 2 systems. It helps in establishing the connectivity with the least amount of coding and provides elaborate workflow, notification, and log status.
Pros
Adapters provide easy to use functions.
No coding is required.
Detailed log capture.
Easy to diagnose a problem and troubleshoot the issue.
Cons
Click, drag and drop
More samples for ease of use
Workflow creation can be a challenge at times. It requires a good understanding of the technology to design efficient workflow.

Good product. Needs practice and expertise to use it efficiently. The logging feature is detailed and provides better insights into the processed transactions to help troubleshoot if any issues. It features Out of box adapters that make it easy to integrate a wide variety of third party systems to the subject system. There is also a feature of writing custom adaptors that are built using the REST technology.
Integrating within systems. We have to integrate it into our solution in order to have the businesses that we help use it to the maximum capacity. I work with Accenture, so we are in the technology management space. On projects, I work with solution architects or in project management within tech teams. For this, I use OIC every day.
Pros
Ease of implementation - this saves me and my team time and resources. You can do projects faster and with less constraints.
Strength of the system - It is robust. The ability to inform set integrations well and efficiently is a benefit.
Cons
Long lag times - it's a really big system that can be clunky sometimes. It doesn't go as fast as you want it to.
Inefficient processing - hand in hand with lag times. It's slow and can seem outdated at times.
Outdated UI - could use a better, more intuitive interface.

In order to achieve a scalable business solution. This is well suited for big companies with big teams who have a need to harness data. I don't think a company just starting out should use this - it's too expensive and you may not have enough data to input.
We use it for customers who are interested in integrating different ERP solution (like SAP, Oracle ERPs, NetSuite etc...), HCM and other Supply Chain Solutions.
Pros
OIC is one of the finest cloud integration platform available in the market.
OIC has many adapters/connectors available to connect Oracle products and other third-party applications.
OIC is the only competitor product to SAP's integration solution.
Cons
OIC has fewer adapters available for on-premise applications. While it is understood that the world is moving towards the cloud, there are still many customers on-premise, and it's integration doesn't cater to that.
There is no prebuilt integration between SAP Project Systems and Plant Maintenance with Primavera P6, Prime and other CEGBU products.
Likelihood to Recommend
OIC is very well suited for large scale companies or business where there are a plethora of integrations between different Oracle applications. Enable users to digitize and modernize their end-to-end processes and integration using a single, seamless platform.
Oracle Integration Cloud is now known as Oracle Integration Cloud Service (OICS). The journey began in 2016 with Integration Cloud Service (ICS) and after 2 years Oracle changed its name to Oracle Integration Cloud. Almost Immediately they again renamed as Autonomous Integration Cloud and now it is back to Oracle Integration Cloud Service (OICS). I was part of this journey since inception and have seen all ups and down of this product. If I would have written this review 1 year or 1.5 years back, my rating would have been lower. OICS has matured and added lots of new functionality which reduces overall implementation time to a great extent. I implement OICS for other customers and I can confidently write that this tool is perfect for an integration requirement whether you want to integrate Oracle to Oracle or non-Oracle to Oracle or non-Oracle to non-Oracle products.
Pros
New enhanced activities that are targeted to reduce the integration pain. For example, file stage activity reduces the pain of chunking the input file while sending and mapping the data to the target application. Stage activity takes care of it automatically for the customer. Similarly, recommendation on the mapper is a huge plus for people looking for common integration.
There are around 50 adapters available including dedicated out of the box application adapters and generic technologies adapters on OICS. The best part of these application adapters is that they are designed considering LOB users. Most of the time integration implementor does not require, application knowledge to perform the integration. OICS has some of Oracle Cloud applications adapters which make integration much easier may not be available in other integration platforms.
Inbuilt diagnostic dashboard and error hospital makes this product lucrative. OICS also comes with integrated Process Cloud and Visual Builder at the same cost. the customer can have seamless integration with Apiary and SSI on demand.
Cons
OICS does not support EDI integration yet. That customer could buy a SOACS subscription, which is quite expensive. But this feature is in the roadmap and may show in the near future.
This is not for the super complex integration or huge volume transactions
Likelihood to Recommend
For all type of integration except those with a huge volume. It can deal with 20MB of transactions and processing of 1GB file when a file is being read using file or FTP adapters. It cannot be used for EDI as this support is not there. OICS is a perfect fit for other integration and is best when a customer has Oracle applications in the landscape. It is even greater if you have a requirement to create a custom form and make use of Process Cloud. All of these work very well together seamlessly. API needs can be handled by APIary.
EAIESB has implemented several implementations using the Oracle SOA Suite. We have worked with various versions of th Oracle SOA Suite (10G, 11G, 12C, and ICS). Most of the implementations we provide are integrations between customer on-premises systems, external systems, and trading partner management.
Pros
Integration with ERP (Oracle, SAP)
Integration with Databases, FTP, SFTP, Banks
Integrations with Trading Partners using Oracle B2B (X12, EDIFACT, HL7, RosettaNet, HIPAA, OAGIS)
Integrations with third Party Service Providers (SOAP/REST)
Implementing GPG/PGP Encryption
Cons
Speed and minimal installation efforts
System is becoming heavy by providing several features
Likelihood to Recommend
As middleware implementation provider, we have recommended the Oracle SOA suite for migrating Oracle acquired products like (SeeBeyond, ICAN, Java CAPS 5, Java CAPS 6). Its B2B supports an EDIFICES tool to customize messages and prepare custom messages to support COBOL in copybook format.
Oracle SOA suite is used by many of my clients for everything from manufacturing to shipping to payment processing. It is used across the entire organization to provide services to multiple systems both internal and external. The Oracle SOA framework allows for easy implementation of just about any type of service that a business could need. Business rules and data flows are easy to implement with this world class suite of products. While there is a bit of a learning curve to people new to SOA it is well worth the investment.
Pros
SOA Suite when combined with Oracle ExaLogic will get you the best performance and reliability. Even without ExaLogic Oracle SOA Suite is the best of breed n the SOA space.
Once you SOA Suite is in place and your developers are trained in developing services you are able to develop new reusable functionality quickly.
Oracle SOA Suite provides Business Activity Monitoring that gives you a real time look at you business and the processes that drive it.
Cons
The biggest problem with the Oracle SOA Suite is the installation and configuration of the product. There is much room for improvement here.
The startup time for large implementations could be improved.
The development and deployment lifecycle could use some improvement.
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle SOA suite is well suited for most business processes but real-time systems such as MES systems are at the mercy of the processing speed.
