We use the CMS to manage the content on our website, as well as host a gated portal for our client confidential content. This allows us to not only market to our potential buyers, but also ensure that our content is given the safety it requires given its sensitivity in the market.
Pros
User interface is intuitive and easy to follow
Development work is easy to follow
Laying out content is made incredibly easy
Cons
The responsive image tool has been difficult in implementation
Navigating some of the gadgets and useful tools are pretty hidden, would love to see those highlighted more obviously

When building our marketing content, it is beyond easy to create new landing pages with the block-based system we've implemented. By allowing page templates and such, we're able to generate new web pages in just an hour, rather than the hours I've experienced with other platforms.
We use Optimizely Content Management System across 7 sites in our holding company ecosystem. It allows us to work cohesively across our team and build the best experiences for our users.
Pros
Audiences
Asset Management
Staging environments
Cons
Moving content/pages between environments more cohesively. I currently use the export/import function a bit but there are areas within our site where that is not possible

We use Optimizely Content Management System a ton on about 25 websites. We have a franchise option where we inherit content from a main folder. Our marketing team maintains the websites and haven’t had a lot of major issues.

Optimizely Content Management System's Version 11 has pretty basic from look and feel. I am sure if we upgrade it will be more user friendly. The permissions around content is also pretty confusing for our end users. Currently they have to manually move it from ‘For this page’ to a specific folder so we can add permissions. They usually have to call me because they don’t remember how to do that.
Optimizely Content Management System solved some issues we were having with inefficiencies and the flexibility of our previous Content Management System. This in combination with AI capabilities with content recommendations has been driving great results for our organisation. We are looking to further expand our Content Management System with the use Optimizley headless CMS capabilities.
Pros
Flexibility of pages and content blocks
Workflow approval
Scalability
Cons
Direct support - rather than going through implementation partners
More training for upcoming functionality such as headless CMS
In house developer training

Optimizely Content Management System is well suited for those that want flexibility for their website. You are able to handle multiple websites in the content management system allowing you to scale up. If your business is exploring headless content management capabilities, Optimizley also have this product available to use off the shelf.
The Optimizely Content Management System was selected just over 3 years ago following a stringent RFP process and was implemented in conjunction with a platinum partner of Optimizely. The product was to replace Wordpress as that application did not meet the needs of our growing organisation and could not meet the business needs to provide the required customer experience. Optimizely was selected as it was the superior product in the market place and represented great value for money and ease of use for the business.
Pros
Allows us to manage the digital experience for our customers across all touchpoints
Has all the tools and insights to understand the customer journey
Is easy to use and intuitive reducing effort and time to market
Allowed us to create a website that is professional, modern and easy to navigate for our customers
Cons
Navigating to find stored content can be difficult if you have a lot of images
Web page builder could be more flexible
A wider range of online tutorials would be helpful

Well suited to an organisation who wants a real presence and a superior customer experience when visiting your website. Very modern look and feel and is great for hosting videos and specialist graphics. It is hard to fault the product and it is up there amongst the best in the market.
It allows non-tech folks to create webpages with tasking developers.
Pros
Rapid turnaround of content
Able to create new sites
Allows for hosting multiple sites
Cons
I would like to the forum have more update documentation
Documentation with more example and code snippets

I really think the CMS is great for companies that need to support multiple sites and have content authors build pages and block with a developers overview.

Workflow integration, specifically the previewing functionality

Optimizely Content Management System is well suited for businesses that highly value consistent branding, varied content author experience, and a need to deliver timely content.
We use it to host our 7 websites including ours. We have lot of scope to achieve the high level of Digital Maturity as an organization but Optimizely Content Management System provides the system which is easy to use for Marketers and content can be updated without the help of developers. In my opinion, UI can be a bit better , but we like the support from their team.
Pros
Super easy deployment
Easy to make code changes
Simple UI
Cons
Better UI for Languages
CMS 12 has lot of header space up top
Dojo is so hard to fix or debug

I think it's best suited for organizations with non-tech marketers. Blocks provide flexibility to update them as per the customer needs, which is great. Personalization is a great feature. In my opinion, UI is not very intuitive and sometimes users struggle to update content and require training. In my opinion, Nested blocks are not great for new users and sometimes users would get lost that where they were at the lifecycle of a page
