Procurement. It has made our procurement process so much faster, saved our agency money, increased efficiency, and decreased the amount of staff time to create bid solicitations.

OpenGov procurement needs to keep the business model of ProcureNow. I have noticed since it has joined OpenGov customer engagement has gotten lost.

OpenGov has opened up our ability to do data analytics and created a data driven environment.

OpenGov is being used across the whole organization to track spending, both current and past. It is also being used community wide as a transperancy tool.

Pros

  • They are very Customer Service centered.
  • OpenGov is helpful with training and understanding their product.
  • OpenGov is responsive to changes in the government sector and update their product regularly.

Cons

  • As they development new products I think they have a tendency to forget what brought them to the table.

OpenGov employs people who have worked in the governmental finance world. This gives them the ability to understand how things actually work in our environment. They have been providing user regional user group meetings on our area giving their staff face-to-face interaction with our staff.
