Pros

My biggest complaint was the credit card processing system, but they've made changes
I would like to see advancements with the mobile check-in in processes at events
Tweaks to fixed price options in the system.

The first time using the system without an assistant. I uploaded the data for the guest names, but for some reason, it didn't show on the tablets the day of the event. The events manager from OneCause was able to jump right into the system and correct the user error.

In our experience, as a small non-profit, that really tries to keep costs down on the back end and keep as much funds as possible going to our different programs the cost of OneCause coupled with some of the frustrations of using the platform hasn't been worth it for our event management.
Our team utilizes the OneCause Fundraising platform for all of our fundraising events and day to day donation needs. This software allows us to house everything on one cental platform. The software is a must for event planning equip with tools and timeline to make managing your events easy and intuitive. Highly recommend if you are looking for one tool that can do it all.
Pros

OneCause is overall a great product they continue to find solutions to make the nonprofit users experience easier and less time consuming, so this tool is great is you are looking to streamline and allow your team to get some time back in their day. Reporting in the new platform is slightly different than in the original bidpal version so if you are new to reporting it can be tricky to know which reports to pull for which information.
Valley Outreach used the OneCause Fundraising Platform for our annual gala in 2024. We used the ticketing function to sell tickets which sold out 2 weeks before the event. We also used the fixed price function as well as live auction
Pros
Support is fantastic -- either by online chat or phone
Customer success managers are always available to help
The guest interface looks modern and professional
Cons
Some functions are found in different areas of the platform and hard to remember where to find what you need but once you navigate often it is easier to find what you need
Reports are different than with other OneCause platforms which takes some getting used to

Ticketing, live and silent auction, fixed price items are great. Could have more customizable functionality

OneCause is an excellent platform for your fundraiser. The site is easy to use, the organization is ideal, and the ease of use for your participants is a highlight.
Pros
Keeps all information in one place.
Easy to use for participants.
Customizable to your event.
Cons
Guidance on how to use the platform.
Understanding every fundraiser is different and what is expected from each of them.
Help function was definitely a low point.

OneCause is useful for organizations with large fundraising events and wants everything to be electronic. From making donations and purchasing tickets to bidding on items, this platform keeps everything organized and user-friendly for all guests and participants. Events that still use cash and checks at their events, along with Venmo, are not the easiest to handle.
We use OneCause as an event management platform for our premier ticketed events, as well as an ad hoc merchant storefront for some of our course offerings.
Pros
Registration process
Silent Auction
Mobile Messaging
Cons
Merchant Storefront
Reporting
User Interface

It is great for registration and table management. The ticket and auction platform are fairly straightforward to set up. Where it can improve is the functionality to link certain things together and have more capabilities for storefront (fixed price items).

We use OneCause as our event platform mainly. We have one large event a year that is our main fundraiser in which we use OneCause in it's whole capacity including bidding on Live and Silent Auctions, as well as Raffles & Donation Moments. OneCause tracks our fundraising goals and I use the exports to import into our other CRM system.
Pros
The raffle set-up is very easy to navigate and allows you to adapt your location's needs for raffle laws.
The site design makes it so easy for you to set up your event page in minutes.
OneCause makes it very easy for table management for large events.
Cons
OneCause could improve their messaging - the fact that custom emails are not as easy as custom texts can be frustrating. I wish all the automated messages were possible over email as most of our professionals that we work with, they prefer email over a text.
OneCause could make it easier to copy and paste text into site design or other features. Having to re-type out the text is a time-suck, when it would be easier to adjust the text to the font default without having to type it in the HTML editor on it's own.
PLEASE make it easier to resend the "assign tickets email". The fact that the main way to do that is when you first enter them into OneCause, but then are not able to resend that message to ticket owners at a later date makes it difficult for them to find what they need when they are ready to assign their tickets.

After having used Greater Giving before switching to OneCause, I'd highly recommend OneCause for any event or fundraising management. The ability to see a company's support over multiple events is great for a snapshot or quick numbers for reporting. It's easier to navigate than most systems, and truly is a one-stop shop for your needs. I look forward to using OneCause for all our future events.

We utilize OneCause as a fundraising platform for our events. It allows us to house all of our donations, ticket sales/sponsorships, table management and raffle/auction management.
Pros
The touch points prior to the events, where you meet with a rep you walks you through your event and answers any questions.
Table Management in the fundraising platform.
Customer service when you have any issues. Fast and efficient responses.
Cons
Not being able to edit slides more for the event
Little flukes in the website building process. Was unable to add in images where needed and support couldn't figure it out.
Lack of flexibility with website design. Couldn't fit all of it and it cut off on mobile site.
Likelihood to Recommend
If is a great way to have a one stop platform that meets the needs for your events and it is convenient being able to house everything necessary in one platform rather than having to use multiples. The system can be a bit confusing, so would recommend only using if you have adequate time to fully understand the system before you use it.
I primarily use OneCause for events. I love the support staff assigned to our agency and how user-friendly the program is. I have been using it for five years or more now and have also had the opportunity to compare it with other event platforms. Overall, OneCause is the best option for our needs.
Pros
Ability to batch upload auction items.
Ease of processing payments at events end.
Detailed reports that are easy to pull.
Cons
Auto-numbering items in auctions need to be editable. Right now, when you add items, they are numbered consecutively, and you can't edit them. I want all of my items to be numbered together by item type. We always have last-minute additions, but there is no ability to renumber.
Likelihood to Recommend
I'm not sure if it is because I have used it so much, but OneCause is the easiest self-explanatory event platform. After 15-20 minutes of use, anyone should be able to navigate at a basic level. It is very user-friendly, and I have been able to train volunteer staff effectively.
