In my opinion, What a horrible company! The first interaction I had with the human at this company was to tell me that the purchase we made was too little and that they were going to charge us double or erase everything we've done! When they spoke to me, they claimed that their website charged the wrong amount because our company operates in different countries and therefore they would be doubling the price. He then stated that they were allowed to do this because their terms of service so that they can change the price and less specified in writing. However, when we made the purchase it was specified in writing exactly how much we would have to pay. I guess they don't honour their own terms of service. I think this company has certainly earned the poor score and bad reviews it has... I saw that before purchasing and figured that we would be fine since I would just rely on the fact that I was never going to deal with anyone at the company. However, not so. In my experience, the company had such poor customer service that I think they would be better off to just get rid of all of the people and make it purely software, I think at least then you would know what you get...
Pros
In my opinion, software works fine as long as you don't need to interact with their people
Cons
In my opinion, terrible customer service
In my experience, they don't even honour their own terms of service
In my opinion, untrustworthy
Likelihood to Recommend
I think if this Company got rid of their customer service team and made it purely software, then at least you would know what you get as the software would honour its programming.

Account Manager in Corporate (Consumer Goods company, 11-50 employees)
Odoo is used for Sales, Inventory management, Purchase management, Accounting, and public and B2B Webshop - and it was implemented to replace NetSuite/Oracle which is used in the "corporate HQ". As the European division became an independent importer from Jan 1st, 2022 we quickly needed a system to import all the existing sales orders and manage inventory, etc. We have only 1 vendor in Canada - and we have approx. 50-60 dealers who we distribute to within Europe.
Pros
Integrate the information (product info) from Inventory to webshop
they SELL themselves very well - but unfortunately, this is NOT how it really is once you get it
Cons
DOCUMENTATION is TERRIBLE (non-existent!) and the videos are WAY WAY too superficial
Bugfixes - which by the way take FOR EVER for SUPPORT to even listen too
The linking between a Sales Order and the "out/fulfillment" and Invoice is NOT THERE at all - It's LIGHTYEARS behind even Netsuite !!!
Accounting is completely useless and a WASTE of money. NO accountants want to even TOUCH it - and people who really would like to do their own accounting...WELL FORGET about it. It's made completely Unintuitive.
FORECASTING is the OPPOSITE of helpfulness - it's directly INCORRECT and MISLEADING. COMPLETELY WASTE of money. How can someone mess something as SIMPLE as that up ?! - well ask Odoo!!!
Doing a simple "Receiving of goods" into various POs requires an hour's worth of PRE-WORK in EXCEL to be able to get it right - NO INTELLIGENCE from the ODOO system whatsoever. You are completely left to yourself to figure out.....you are better off with an Excel spreadsheet sadly!!
In general, the entire Odoo system lacks Intuitive logic which would enable people to learn and use the system with ease. INSTEAD, with Odoo you have to do things WEIRD ways - take for example a simple look up what's in a Storage location.....IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Their Implementation partners are useless money pits - as they don't know how the system works either (or rather spend too much time on errors in the system)
No accountants are using Odoo for their clients - which is the WHOLE point of using Odoo...instead, the accountant will DEMAND you deliver the numbers to them, and then they use PROPER accounting software instead. I should have saved my money.
This list of "room for improvement" could GO ON.....but I simply don't have the time to write it all down - THAT should say it all!! Stay CLEAR of this rubbish!!!
Likelihood to Recommend
Wish there was a -1 or at least a ZERO. IT does not deserve more, unfortunately. I REALLY had high hopes for this, but it got squashed by reality sinking in after having spent a fortune in consultants trying to set this terrible system up. Flawed, unintuitive, lacking ANY intelligence and even their OWN invoicing and Sales Orders they will send you had errors and didn't work..... I should have read the warning signals and the other reviews. Hope you don't make the same mistake. I will do as much as I can to inform others about my terrible experience with Odoo so they don't manage to also take your money and run!!

Don’t use
Odoo – My horrible
experience
This
company doesn’t care about your company and how it can help. All they care about is
to make you sign up before showing their true colors.
After having
a long conversation with Odoo support, the Odoo CS proposes a set of apps for
my business. Tells me that these apps are good enough for all my business operations.
During the trial, I found out the app was lacking a few features and the process
was complicated. I get assurance from them that they have a solution. Based on
faith, I signed up for their annual package. However, they couldn’t provide me
with a proper solution for consignment inventory and proposed a “workaround”
which doesn’t work for my business. Then comes the bombshell. They entice you
with the cheap apps only for me to find out I need another app called the “Studio” app
to make everything work. This is the MOST EXPENSIVE app. I feel cheated and
tricked. I requested a refund. They took their time (before signing up they
responded in 24 hours) to reply despite many emails and always rejected my
request saying their system is good enough for my company.
I pleaded
many times to them to do the right thing, but they ignored all my requests. We
are a small company with 3 people working here and this was a huge loss for us.
Despite knowing we won’t be able to use their system, they refused to give a
refund and stuck with their narrative. I even requested them to get on a call
with me and prove to me, that their system was good for my company but that too
they refused and told me to learn myself. Complete change of attitude and
terrible professionalism. We have been
badly hit financially because of Odoo and it has affected our business. I feel
cheated by the representative who was looking to secure an account at any cost.
I find this company immoral and untrustworthy that should not be supported.
STAY AWAY FROM ODOO. They shouldn’t get away with such act. Unless rejected by
the public, they will not change their way of doing things. They have taken my
money for an account that won’t be used, and they are fine with it.
This is
UNFAIR, UNETHICAL, and not a model company behaviour. This is pure GREED and a
company with no MORAL values.
Pros
In my experience, They are horrible company
Horrible Customer Service
Terrible Product
Cons
Improve Customer Service
Treat customers as assets instead of of cash cow
Terrible product

None. Don't use it.

We use Odoo mostly for inventory management. POs are stored in Odoo, and those are linked to receipts, quality inspections, and inventory inputs. We also use this product for managing manufacturing production orders and creating traceability between the lots of raw materials received and the final product assemblies. Related to this, Odoo is the second place where revision changes and relevant BoMs are stored.
Pros
Lot traceability
Inventory tracking
Manufacturing orders
Cons
Navigation
Auto-generated labels
Likelihood to Recommend
The software is really good for managing inputs and inventory as well as maintaining traceability. The "track picking moves" functionality lets you look into a specific lot or serial numbers and view all the product moves that occurred with that lot. However, some navigation is not intuitive. For example, if I click on an item in the BoM of an assembly, then click the back button to go back to the assembly, the site goes all the way back to the home screen. Some of these quirks mean that there is a learning curve for the software, but overall the tracking is very good.
We provide services using Odoo. We have launched an e-commerce website based on Odoo 10. We actively maintain the backend along with the user role management and various technical aspects of Odoo, such as developing custom modules. We implement extra functionality by extending Odoo and various other stuff related to Odoo. We also support users to deploy Odoo on their production server.
Pros
Extendible, can be extended to do whatever you want
Robust and flexible.
Thousands of Modules / plugins out of the box
Easy to deploy
Cons
Has larger memory footprint
Performance tuning is a bit complex
Likelihood to Recommend
Odoo is extremely powerful as it provides many applications out of the box. So, getting started on something is extremely easy with Odoo. However, thorough Python knowledge is required to customize or extend Odoo to make your product unique. Hence, if your app requires something special you might have to reconsider the complexity of developing a new app using some other framework, or extending Odoo.

Odoo is the ERP of the company. It helps with sales, manufacturing, purchases, invoicing and accounting. It is our MRP and accounting software.
Pros
Possibility to customize the fields and some workflows is rather simple and a lot of tutorials are available on the internet.
The community version is free as are most modules and some paying modules developped for specific purposes are available in the marketplace.
It is easy to configure products with accounting, everything is smooth.
Cons
Community version is sometimes hard to maintain, needs some on-premise knowledge (IT) or having business with an Odoo partner that is sometimes expensive and unreliable.
Enterprise version is as expensive as other ERP in the market.
Reporting is horrible, not a lot of possibility to integrate seamlessly with a third party BI platform.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would go community version for a small startup, Odoo can be customized quickly and refined as a company matures. It's less suited for a big company already using an ERP with lots of workflows and integration.
Odoo is used as the main ERP for the company and mainly for our sales department. However, three other departments such as the logistics and finance departments are also using it, including the support department that I am the manager of. It used for all of the sales related business processes as well as finance operations including the logistics that are needed to carry these tasks out. The operations carried out with Odoo include basically everything starting from the first step of selling to ending with the invoices, and sales orders to shipping.
Pros
Easy to use and user-friendly interface with the detailed instructions alongside whenever it's needed. If the instructions do not help or you need any further assistance their support team is really accessible through email. The response rate is maximum 1 hour.
The ability of the system to be the all-in-one place for different business operations. As in terms of sales, in our organization, it unites and serves almost every task related to sales starting from invoicing and ending with the shipping.
The modules inside the Odoo are well adapted to each other for different but connected operations making it comfortable to understand the process flow at a functional and technical level.
Cons
Some of the 'landing pages' in the system are not user actionable/changeable. For instance, setting the pipeline of the sales, which appears for every salesmen user, even if there is no need for him/her to set it. It can't be turned off.
Being open source software, Odoo should be more easily tweakable. However, it is difficult to find the proper information for the developers about how to do it. The is a lot of information but not in a well-organized way.
Likelihood to Recommend
As in my case, a whole four departments and their operations/assets are accessible through the system. It is really easy, for instance, to sell the product to the end-user and carry out all the necessary operations such as creating the quotation and easily export the proforma invoice, confirm thesale and assign it to the logistics, etc. All these are done in a really easy way and not a big effort is needed if you are well adapted to the system. What's more, the system is really fast and it does not lag with excessive operations.
