We use Odoo CRM for our business needs and it has been one of the right choice we made. It helps us to track all our leads at one place and we can segregate our leads based on the pipeline. Follow-ups is very easy with Odoo and integrating it with our VOIP helped us to check the sales team performance effectively and chance of missing sales is very less as we can see all our lead prospects in one place
Pros
Tracking Leads and checking the sales pipeline effectively
Doing Followups based on the user needs
Easy integration with other API tools like VOIP etc
Cons
Integrating WhatsApp API should be more easy

We are well known organization with more than 100 leads per day and maintaining all these leads with manually efforts is almost impossible and chance of missing a lead is high. Odoo solved this as we can add all the leads with in this and our sales executives simply pick the leads or automatic assign based on team. It helps us to track the pipeline of sales performance of a particular day or timeline very easily. It helps us to do follow-ups effectively as we can see the all the information right before us
We use Odoo for reporting & accounting purposes. We are a conveyor belting shop that works with an extensive inventory, and we have found Odoo to be an excellent platform for managing inventory, processing orders, bills, invoices, etc., and reconciling our accounts. The main apps that we work with are accounting, sales, purchase, and inventory, but we have others for reference as well.
Pros
Managing Inventory- especially working with landed costs
Reporting- Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, etc.
Bank Reconciliation
Cons
Connecting Sales & Purchase to track the flow of outside orders
End of year closing procedures
Inventory Valuation procedures

We used to use SAP Business One and found it very difficult and expensive to make any modifications to specifically fit our business needs- Odoo is very adaptive- any business that feels that it has a unique set up for inventory or sales processes, Odoo is the best for crafting a unique, personalized approach to accounting for your business needs. The only scenario that I would say wouldn't be the best is if you are company that needs to "close" months and periods- Odoo is set up to be able to continuously look back to prior periods and still make adjustments, which can be difficult if a transaction occurs that you don't realize will affect a prior period and then you have to amend reports.
We use Odoo as our sales, accounting, manufacturing, service and inventory control system. We had several less efficient systems in place prior and with Odoo we have been able to combine them into one. We also like it because there is a communications system built in. You can tag people in messages and assign activities. It makes it very helpful to reenforce the importance of communication amongst the teams.
Pros
Easy to add or archive product.
Sorts customer information easily.
Integrates with other programs like slack.
Cons
We had to work with an implementation team to customize Odoo into something that could truly work for us.
I would like to be able to run some reports in an easier way.
We did have to implement the use of an iOT box as well for something like printing barcode stickers.
Likelihood to Recommend
Over-all, due to the customizations we were able to make to Odoo, we were able to make it work for our company. We are a company of only about 45 people and I think Odoo can support smaller companies like ours. I don't think it would suit larger corporations with large warehouses. So I gave it a 7 because for the price of the base product and the implementation team, I feel we got what we need. It took us almost a year of meetings and discussions and playing around in a sandbox version to get where we could launch it and then almost another year after the launch of tweaks and changes and support from the team.
We use Odoo to manage our sales, inventory, manufacturing work orders, service orders, and accounting.
Pros
Great flexibility in manufacturing assembly for a low cost.
Very open and flexible system.
Integrates with many other systems.
Cons
Customer service is nonexistent. You will need a 3rd party to assist you.
The system has an open app for integrating with other programs. These are developed by third parties and can be hit or miss in functionality.
The system offers great flexibility; however, it is too much and requires coding. For example, changing a Sales order PDF requires coding to modify the document.
Initial implementation is clunky and seems to require a 3rd party just for setup.
Likelihood to Recommend
Implementation was a terrible experience for us. Because it required a third party, we ended up way over budget and schedule. While Odoo advertises that it works with many systems, these third-party integrations often don't work out of the box and require extensive coding to set up. Furthermore, these "apps" can frequently break or lose integration.
We are using Odoo for Sales and Inventory which seamlessly integrates with the products on the websites. This means the Sales teams effectively manage the products on the back end and front end is automatically maintained.
Pros
Product integration on websites
Customization is endless
Cons
It would be great if one could load Marketplace Modules on Odoo.online
Documentation is lacking for customers that want to do self-serivce on Odoo.online
Not having product dimensions as standard feature is a major downfall
Likelihood to Recommend
Odoo is well priced for small teams and negotiable on enterprise level.
We use Odoo as our CRM and sales software. It gives us an easily accessible, centralized hub to view information pertaining to all aspects of the sales process including production and billing. That way, if a customer calls with a question about an order that I was not in charge of, I am still able to see where we are in the process and what the conversation has been between them and their sales rep. Super convenient and helpful!
Pros
Customer contact information
Quotations and sales orders
Invoicing and inventory management
Cons
Production information and organization
Cost of goods/margin calculation
Tax exemption
Likelihood to Recommend
Odoo fits what we need to make quotes and take orders. Customer information is easily organizable and searchable which makes it convenient to pull up a list of someone's previous orders. This is very important for us to make sure the customer is getting the same size/specs on their flags and hardware.
In my opinion, What a horrible company! The first interaction I had with the human at this company was to tell me that the purchase we made was too little and that they were going to charge us double or erase everything we've done! When they spoke to me, they claimed that their website charged the wrong amount because our company operates in different countries and therefore they would be doubling the price. He then stated that they were allowed to do this because their terms of service so that they can change the price and less specified in writing. However, when we made the purchase it was specified in writing exactly how much we would have to pay. I guess they don't honour their own terms of service. I think this company has certainly earned the poor score and bad reviews it has... I saw that before purchasing and figured that we would be fine since I would just rely on the fact that I was never going to deal with anyone at the company. However, not so. In my experience, the company had such poor customer service that I think they would be better off to just get rid of all of the people and make it purely software, I think at least then you would know what you get...
Pros
In my opinion, software works fine as long as you don't need to interact with their people
Cons
In my opinion, terrible customer service
In my experience, they don't even honour their own terms of service
In my opinion, untrustworthy
Likelihood to Recommend
I think if this Company got rid of their customer service team and made it purely software, then at least you would know what you get as the software would honour its programming.
We switched over to Odoo based on the vendor promises and we did a trial. On the surface everything works, but as soon as you get into implementation, and the detail, you'll discover basic things just don't work. Don't expect an experience like Xero, or Hubspot where everything just works. In my experience, simple functionality like sending a purchase order just breaks. "Internal Server Error" is what we get. Anytime we log a job it takes about 4 days for a response and then the first response is always a fob off. "Oh it's just this, you didn't do this", in the end you have to do screen recordings to prove it and then they disappear. We have been on the platform for 6 weeks now. Paid them twice and to date, not a single job has been closed. Their internet banking integration just straight up does not work with the banks they promise. We use their SaaS services because we want to use the actual software vendor rather than an open source self hosted solution and it still does not work. Do not buy.
Pros
The trial looks good
The pricing seems cheap
The sales person was nice
Cons
In my opinion, the product doesn't actually work though
The pricing gets really expensive when you factor in how much time you can't work
The support people are completely absent, once you've paid
Likelihood to Recommend
Odoo is well suited if you don't have an actual business to run. If you need to get any work done it's no good.
Odoo is used for Sales, Inventory management, Purchase management, Accounting, and public and B2B Webshop - and it was implemented to replace NetSuite/Oracle which is used in the "corporate HQ". As the European division became an independent importer from Jan 1st, 2022 we quickly needed a system to import all the existing sales orders and manage inventory, etc. We have only 1 vendor in Canada - and we have approx. 50-60 dealers who we distribute to within Europe.
Pros
Integrate the information (product info) from Inventory to webshop
they SELL themselves very well - but unfortunately, this is NOT how it really is once you get it
Cons
DOCUMENTATION is TERRIBLE (non-existent!) and the videos are WAY WAY too superficial
Bugfixes - which by the way take FOR EVER for SUPPORT to even listen too
The linking between a Sales Order and the "out/fulfillment" and Invoice is NOT THERE at all - It's LIGHTYEARS behind even Netsuite !!!
Accounting is completely useless and a WASTE of money. NO accountants want to even TOUCH it - and people who really would like to do their own accounting...WELL FORGET about it. It's made completely Unintuitive.
FORECASTING is the OPPOSITE of helpfulness - it's directly INCORRECT and MISLEADING. COMPLETELY WASTE of money. How can someone mess something as SIMPLE as that up ?! - well ask Odoo!!!
Doing a simple "Receiving of goods" into various POs requires an hour's worth of PRE-WORK in EXCEL to be able to get it right - NO INTELLIGENCE from the ODOO system whatsoever. You are completely left to yourself to figure out.....you are better off with an Excel spreadsheet sadly!!
In general, the entire Odoo system lacks Intuitive logic which would enable people to learn and use the system with ease. INSTEAD, with Odoo you have to do things WEIRD ways - take for example a simple look up what's in a Storage location.....IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Their Implementation partners are useless money pits - as they don't know how the system works either (or rather spend too much time on errors in the system)
No accountants are using Odoo for their clients - which is the WHOLE point of using Odoo...instead, the accountant will DEMAND you deliver the numbers to them, and then they use PROPER accounting software instead. I should have saved my money.
This list of "room for improvement" could GO ON.....but I simply don't have the time to write it all down - THAT should say it all!! Stay CLEAR of this rubbish!!!
Likelihood to Recommend
Wish there was a -1 or at least a ZERO. IT does not deserve more, unfortunately. I REALLY had high hopes for this, but it got squashed by reality sinking in after having spent a fortune in consultants trying to set this terrible system up. Flawed, unintuitive, lacking ANY intelligence and even their OWN invoicing and Sales Orders they will send you had errors and didn't work..... I should have read the warning signals and the other reviews. Hope you don't make the same mistake. I will do as much as I can to inform others about my terrible experience with Odoo so they don't manage to also take your money and run!!
