Odoo is cost effective CRM well suited for start ups with small sales team or lesser number of leads. If you wanted to start your process with a CRM which is my easy to learn and handle, Odoo is an good option. Odoo comes with desktop and mobile application. The interface and features are simple to use
When we begun using Odoo for Manufacturing planning, it was a natural transiton over to the CRM module as we didn't have anything concretely in place for this at the time. We were a considerably smaller company when we implemented it (5 employees!) so at the time, it acted as mainly a customer directory where I could take notes following sales meetings and keep track of potential leads. As we've grown over the last 4 years to 20 employees, Odoo plays a very integral role in our companies organisation where our sales team generates quotations for customers with it daily and it continues to be the main point of reference for picking up old leads and organising our customer database.
Pros
Generating quotations partiuclarly for the ease of data amendment so that products can be added on the fly and names can be amended per quote to suit
The contact tagging feature is a fantastic way of grouping customers/leads into industry specific groups for targetting specific areas seperately
Very versatile customer pricelist function for ensuring discount structures are accurately calculated
Cons
It would be great to have a custom dashboard with editable graphs and reporting
The quotation PDF is limited in how it can be changed and I'd prefer using our own custom design rather than the odoo defaults

We are not a huge company so it's great for the relatively basic requriements we have for storing customer data and logging conversations. I haven't delved too deep inot opportunity tracking but the little I looked didn't seem quite as strong as a tool like Salesforce which I used previously.
