We use Nintex Process Manager and Workflow cloud.

We have mapped processes throughout various departments to help provide work instructions and for projects to map the current and future states. It's help tracked savings for initiatives and captured how work is completed making is easier to onboard new staff to roles.

We have built several workflows for several departments and helped streamline data gathering and approval processes. It has dramatically improved the processes and eliminated human errors and handoffs.

Pros

Offers both high level and detailed process documentation
Let's business users create automated workflows with a low code solution
Notifies people using documents and maps of when changes have been made - this has improved the adoption of new changes as people know instead of having to remember to go see if a process has changed.

Cons

The cost structure of charging per process map has made us look for another solution and it will be disappointing to lose the functionality.
Licensing model for workflow cloud automations is prohibitive to use it for automating versus Power Automate or UiPath because of charging per run

I love the functionality of the products but their pricing model has caused our costs to more than double in the last two years as people adopted using the products to improve both processes and workflows. I would rate it higher if there was a more stable model of licensing. It may work better for smaller organizations or large organizations with large budgets.

Process Manager is a specific Nintex product we use as a knowledge management platform for our organisation, containing processes, policies, and other key documents.

Nintex forms and Workflows are used within my organization for many different processes. From Internal Audit to HR to IT, we have forms for every use case imaginable. We integrate Nintex cloud forms with Azure tables to pull in data for lookup values. We process email approvals as well as task based approvals for many accounting processes in order to better automate the handling of the accounting day to day needs.

Nintex Process Platform is used primarily for automation of tasks related to SharePoint online. Use cases vary from team to team, but generally Nintex Process Platform Forms is utilized for its ability to quickly enter information into a SharePoint list. Nintex Process Platform Workflows are then utilized to process the data within the lists and send updates through email on when the list is updated to specific individuals or distribution lists.

We are still very much dipping our toes into the 'Nintex platform water,' as it were. Still, we already see benefits with workflow processes that can be customized beyond the out-of-the-box SharePoint experience. Nintex was recommended to us by our 3rd party SharePoint developers, who have been with us on the journey to transform a standard 'SharePoint' into a one-stop shop for all staff across the business. The workflows are easy to set up using their drag-and-drop methodology, and the forms even take the Adobe-created forms to the next level. The internal policy mandated a traditional On-Premise SharePoint Farm, and we are excited that Nintex recognizes this in their product offering by still supporting On-Premise Farms (SharePoint). The next step is to digitize our remaining paper forms and build more workflows. This is what I am excited about.

Nintex is constantly releasing new updates to the process platform. We are partially mapping out our current processes and have already seen areas where we can reduce the overlapping work of various staff members. Process mapping and the platform take time, no matter how easy the tool makes it (it's easy). If you don't have the time or resources to commit to process or experience improvement, you may need to look internally to see if your business C-level is ready to 'improve' things. We learned this the hard way until we were able to show results.

We wanted to use Nintex to help with workflow assignments that are in a large SharePoint list. We moved from Microsoft Power Automate because of significant throttling issues. We manage over 1,100 projects each year and each project has upwards of 100 SharePoint list fields. We have multiple workflows (e.g. review of project as multiple steps) within each SharePoint list row that need to start when a date is entered for that project in the list. Power Automate was able to use date fields as triggers. Nintex Workflow cannot.
We worked with Nintex engineers and their work around was to add two new fields for every workflow we want to kick off. That is a lot of extra work for a list that already has 100 fields. We keep asking Nintex to allow the condition builder to access date fields. It's been over a year without any progress. They seems to have a lot of turnover with their account team and we have to re explain what we want many times.
