What is Newton ATS?

Paycor now supports the web-based Newton Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (acquired by Paycor in 2017), which is designed as a recruiting and HR application for smaller to midsize (SMB) companies, which features resume parsing, an Agency Manager (for handling applicants from recruiting agencies), as well as employee referrals, as well as automated posting of jobs to popular job boards, as well as the requisite offer and onboarding management support, and dashboard with analytics.

Feature-Heavy Applicant Tracking System, But Ideal for Small/Mid-Sized Companies

Pros

  • Integration with external site -- easy to have job posting links appear on our website, and connect directly to the Newton application portal
  • Email Templates -- easy to customize templates, that allow for consistent, compliant language when communicating with applicants

Cons

  • Page Layout -- the side-collapsing page layout can load inconsistently, and require frequent resizing of your window
  • Landing Page for Applicants -- the text that appears on your company careers page is generated through Newton, and only editable in HTML, which is not overly user-friendly.

Return on Investment

  • With templates, email outreach utilization has increased candidate response by 35%.
  • Refresh/repost best practices for older job postings has provided immediate upticks in response (up to 15 applicants in one day, for a posting that had drastically slowed in applicants).
