Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I mainly work on the SAP ABAP platform coding background processes. Personally, I've never found an issue with the platform functionality and would highly recommend it to newcomers as navigation is often self-explanatory, and if not, there is not. There's normally a help button to assist in the next steps. However, I would like to see the help option explore a smaller learning curve.

Outlines serves for levels of development.
Customization of UI and favorites help for repeated processes.

Cons

Tool tips on help could be explored.

I think normally, in my day-to-day, I have to navigate multiple screens or reach max GUI sessions fast, a multi-tab, or a way not to lose or manage multiple views. This would help me, as a dev/tester, navigate through processes faster.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Enterprise Portal to manage, report, and track expenses for travel and other resources. Employees use this on an individual level and a departmental level.

Pros

Application works quickly
Organization is intuitive
Support is readily available when needed

More customizable notifications

Likelihood to Recommend

The portal is very useful in tracking and reporting the expenses of individuals. It make requesting reimbursement and approving expenditures simple, quick, and easily trackable.

Expenses, Travel, and various other administrative tasks. The scope of my usage was as a user as well as a manager of users.

Pros

It's cross platform.
Lots of integrations.

Cons

UI/UX is relatively dated and at times clunky.
Some integrations don't seem to actually integrate very well.

Expense management was a highlight for me. The mobile application was relatively robust and easy to use. However, anything on the web (i.e. expense, travel, etc) was extremely clunky and a very dated user experience.

I have experience of this being used as our staff portal for accessing our payslips and personal information. I found it did the job but was clunky, often went down, and wasn't that intuitive to use. Fortunately, I only need to check it/use it a few times a month so it didn't really impact my view of the software.

As a user I can't say too much about this, I used the end product to view work schedules, booking management, and payslip access. I know that my line manager found it very hard to use and it was not that well integrated. Often you could not go back easily after clicking something and it was hard to view multiple areas at once.

I was encharged of leading a group of trucks with the idea to transport material (gravel, granite, etc..) to different locations, so I used SAP to monitor carrier performance, gain greater visibility into supply chains, and provide accurate and up-to-the-minute information about shipments and supply chain performance. With this information, I could keep the traceability of the material in the company.

Pros

Provide reliable information about the shipments.
Gain visibility of the material a long of the supply chain.
Monitor the carrier performance.

Cons

Program can not be easily manipulated to make results false.
Customization is very costly and limited.
Difficult to handle large amount of data.

Well: Keep monitoring the material that is sent to different internal and external customers. Track and keep updated the inventories Less: Not feasible for complicated business processes like manufacturing concerns. limited features with respect to the Production module and some of the finance-related features are missing, in general works but not in the way that you expect.
