With Oracle, we were sold the software as a mid-sized company for $250k and by the time we were done the cost was 3 time that or $750k and we were paying $200k annually for thier hosted solution. … Increased our investment in IT from $10k to over $80k a year, but still less than adding one full-time IT position Have grown from 10 subsidiaries to 13 using system without increasing cost.

Well: sales order processing, customer master, Item records, pick, pack, ship, capturing detail line item data, invoicing, revenue management, customer billing and payment processing, purchase order... … Not well: pricing and variant configuration, usage-related billing, complex pricing, demand planning, and real-time integration.

The Advanced Customer Support at $200 per hour with a 10-hr per month minimum did not proved $24,000 per year worth of service. … When we looked in to setting one up, it was going to cost us $500 monthy fee, not including transaction fees, just to have the sync capability.

Far too many companies get trapped by what is familiar and cost themselves tens of even hundreds of thousands of dollars in maintenance and consulting fees just to keep inefficient software running... … All of the pros come with an annual price tag that can be quite hefty Enhancement/upgrade implementations and integrations are generally outsourced with daunting price tags as well Unexpected...

Overall, NetSuite has provided a positive ROI through some increased efficiency in internal business processes, however the ROI is gradually dropping with each additional renewal and price increase. … Unfortunately, anything beyond that ability requires escalation into the black hole of their Tier II / Tier III Support.

I don’t know about the relative pricing for Financial Force, though I perceive the overall pricing would be cheaper because of access to data for account executives and account managers. … We negotiated a 10 year 5% max price increase per year.
