TripActions is used across our entire organization. In the past, we had a travel agency that helped book and manages travel for our company. Still, since moving to TripActions, it's empowered employees to handle and manage their own business travel with an easy-to-use platform. However, it also gives our admins the option to book trips for senior leadership.
Pros
Straightforward, user-friendly interface
Compiles all airline options for best selection
Cons
Make invoice/expense options more streamlined.
Improve the ability to book the same trip as colleagues.
Likelihood to Recommend
TripActions is great for most things! Last minute work trips or planning things out in advance. Might be less appropriate for large grounds of employees taking the same trip. The ability to book hotel, airfare, rental car etc. is really vital.
We use TripActions company-wide to book any work travel or trade show/conferences. It reduces stress off our events team by allowing everyone to coordinate their own flights with their preferred times. We have a lot of employees nationwide, so TripActions also reduces any errors of departure cities.
Pros
Individual Booking
Team Activity Booking
Cons
$20 fee seems steep
Likelihood to Recommend
When coordinating travel for more than two employees

TripActions is being used as our single travel booking platform as of May 29, 2019, across the entire organization. It solves multiple business problems:
Various travel data sources making it impossible to analyze
Unintuitive UI/UX for a company-mandated booking platform
Policy enforcement
Employee engagement
Traveler support
Pros
Customer support: Incredibly quick response time, human interaction, smart people.
Massive inventory: Minimizes our own employees telling us some other site is cheaper.
Cons
Global Pricing: Since TripActions has the role of an inventory aggregator, they have to tackle inventory one distributor at a time. If CTrip or MakeMyTrip has better inventory, it won't flow through to TripActions until a deal with them is made.
Controls: TripActions is very open in the way it enforces policy - meaning it isn't for every company. If a customer wants more heavy-handed controls, they'll have to go with a competitor.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want a platform that requires approvals before booking, TripActions isn't for you. If you operate heavily in China or India, TripActions won't have the domestic inventory you need.
For everyone else, I'd recommend TripActions.

TripActions is used across the whole organization. Pretty much all business trip (flight/lodge) we will be using the app and expense directly from the app
Pros
Great price, nice discount
Direct expense export to Expensify
Cons
Sometimes hard to find the exact location, or take some time to search, say Chicago, there are dozen of towns, sometimes I don't have the exact town name, or it is not available in the app.
Hope to have more refundable rate available

Pro: TripActions is easy to use, competitive price, can split to personal trips and company trips.
Con: Frequent spontaneous trip, unplanned, since it $25 bucks for each trip generated.

We utilize TripActions to book business trips using the corporate credit card - we utilize this across the entire company, and it makes it super easy for employees to book flights/hotels/rental cars through the company's corporate card. It also gives us the incentive to book at the lowest possible price in return for rewards which solve the issue of people booking high-ticketed trips.
Pros
Provides a wide range of travel options within a wide budget.
It is reliable - if a trip gets canceled, they are quick to contact their customer and help sort out additional booking details to get you to your final destination.
Cons
Not ALL flights are listed.
Sometimes they over-communicate.
Likelihood to Recommend
TripActions would be useless for someone to use in their daily lives, but I think it is well-suited for a company that tends to have its employees travel a lot.

TripActions is being used to help employees (across the org) book trips in a one stop shop way and then TripActions also works with our expense system in order to help draft an expense report. It helps to keep everything for the business travel all in once place.
Pros
It sorts the searches by reward points.
It stores your reward cards so the consumer doesn't have to re-enter each time.
It is comparable to other prices online and it lets you know if your company has special deals.
Cons
Consistent pricing across the org. I tried to book a trip right after a co-worker did at a hotel. She received rewards and I didn't.
Likelihood to Recommend
It makes life easier by booking a trip in one place and is easy to load the receipts into our expense system.

TripActions is being used by my company across the US portion of the organization. It's easy to book trips knowing where colleagues are staying and what flights they're on.
Pros
Shows you what flights your colleagues are on.
Shows you where your colleagues are staying when booking a trip.
Easy app to use.
Syncs travel information with your email.
Syncs expenses with Expensify.
Cons
Although the chat function for support on site is nice, sometimes it's preferable to speak to a live person on the phone.

Great for companies but I'm unclear what the benefits would come from use on a personal level.
TripActions is being used across the whole organization globally. Last year alone, the company saved $60,000 in Travel & Expense budget due to TripActions! Not only are the employees and users incentivized by making money to purchase cheaper hotel/flight/cars, but the company gets to save thousands of dollars yearly. It's a true win/win!
Pros
Amazing uses of filters to tailor your trip to your personal preferences (time of departure, airline, location, etc).
User-friendly, easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing.
Rewards for saving your employer money!!
Cons
Limited partnerships with all the major airlines, or if so, slowly just adding more airlines to their platform
Not a lot of information about the ratings of the hotels. I have stayed in hotels that I probably wouldn't have if their information was more up to date
Likelihood to Recommend
TripActions is absolutely useful for any outside sales teams and companies that promote or offer a lot of travel. If the sales team travels as much as ours does, it's worth the investment. If travel is not something that most of your company has on a monthly to quarterly basis, I do not think that TripActions would be well suited for that environment.
