What is MyNAS Storage Appliance?

MyNAS® Storage Appliance is a Network Attached Storage (NAS) platform designed and developed to store important digital data in a secure manner by leveraging enterprise technology provided by OpenZFS. MyNAS® Storage Appliance provides access to data from Windows, OSX or Unix systems. Access to data is controlled with user permissions or by integrating with Microsoft Active Directory.

Data is secured with encryption-at-rest to protect it in the event of unauthorised access or theft. Unwanted data changes can be reversed by utilising Data Share snapshots and Microsoft Windows Previous Versions. OSX can be backed up by utilising in-built Time Machine capabilities.

Cloud Replication Partners include Amazon, Backblaze, Google, Dropbox, Microsoft and ownCloud. Cloud Retention Policies are used to store and retain data in the cloud.

MyNAS® Storage Appliance does not lock the user into any hardware platform or storage size limitations. MyNAS® Storage Appliance can be installed on any platform of choice – from physical hardware to VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V or Oracle VirtualBox.
