It helps to brainstorm various ideas. To run various product development and Commercialization plans. It also helps delegate tasks to different employees. I really like various Mind Maps that are already present in the system. I'm big into creative solutions, and this helps to navigate through tough solutions by opening up a space for better thinking capacity.
Pros
Brainstorming
Project Management.

Cons
Connection with Phone.
A bit lower price.
A little better interface for the Flow charts.

From our point of view, there are no areas for which the programme would not be suitable.

I almost always use mind mapping at the beginning of a work result, be it an important document, a workshop or an idea. I particularly like to use it when creating documents (Export from MindManager!) to combine topics into headings. But I also use the tool a lot for outlining procedures (whether processes or software).
Pros
The GUI has a good and smooth look'n'feel
The Export features are amazing
The Designs for the maps are nice
Very reliable (no crashes)
Fast, even with huge maps
Cons
It seems to loose the licensing information quite often, I have to sign in again and again.
Why is the JIRA Add-In a seperate tool? I have a lot of hassle whenever I need a new product from our MIS department. They don't want to deal with many little software add-ins. And I couldn't find any possibility to test the add-in. Furthermore, it was hard to find anything about the Jira add-in at your website at all. Please, just include the add-in without the hassle of additional licensing workflows. If your start offering costly add-ons, the product will become a lot less attractive. All-inclusive - this is what decision makers like!
Quite expensive, far too expensive for private use. I'd love to use it at home, as well, but have to use another mind mapper.
I need more templates! Not templates that look a bit differen, but most of them do pretty much the same. E.g. I would need one for Lessons Learned. And another one for State Chart designs, and so on ....
Online-Features like in Microsoft Whiteboard would be great

I love this tool for creating documents like requirements specifications. While talking to several people, I simply "chop" everything into a mind map. The next step is to group the topics and then export them to a new Word document. I do the rest in the word processor. The tool masters simple standard diagram types, such as structure plans and network diagrams. Unfortunately, the tool is not very good when it comes to special (often technical) diagram types where the format is predefined: flow charts, state charts, FMEAs, lessons learned, communication flows, etc. I know that these are not typical mind mapping tools, but I use mind mapping to create these documents, too.

Project Manager in Research & Development (Machinery company, 1001-5000 employees)
In our organization, we have multiple challenges in our daily business that are very challenging to juggle with, especially for new people. We effectively leverage MindManager to visually map out complex relationships between situations, issues, and potential solutions. This tool is invaluable for decision-making and resource allocation. By creating comprehensive mind maps, we can easily identify dependencies, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently.
Pros
Very rapidly build new structure
Links work very well
Make it super simple to visualize relations between items
replace drop downs with overall viewpoint
easy to modify the links and relationships
Cons
sharing is not simple
the templates are not always flexible enough
public links seem so still have people requiring to log in
notifications settings in not clear, when multiple people are using it, i get bombarded by emails

We currently use a huge quantity of programs, online ressources, and websites for our daily work. I built a centralized page to regroup them all. I call that page my starlink. it is a powerful tool to enable my whole team to know where to find things and work more efficiently. I configured it on my home page and it is easily accessible.

Account Manager in Professional Services (Automotive company, 501-1000 employees)
Personal information management, projects, meetings, tasks and planning. Mostly use MindManager as a tool for organizing and getting an overview of information. Also use it as a presentation tool, and as a springboard for articles in Word and PowerPoint presentations. Great for creating Standard Operating Procedures for the company I'm working at.
Pros
Personal Information Management
Brainstorming articles and presentations
Meeting notes and tasks
Sharing of information
Cons
Knowledge Management (no backlinking feature)
Word export (the exported Word document is a bit hard to work with/need a lot of modifications before it's "standard" Word document).
Sharing of project maps and tasks with others that don't have MindManager (they can't update).
Likelihood to Recommend
MindManager is especially well suited for handling lots of textual information. The visual format makes it easy to get an overview, navigate the information, and spot areas of interest that need your attention. MindManager is also an excellent (visual) planning and brainstorming tool, making it easy to insert and update tasks, resources and files related to the project.
I use MindManager especially for brainstorming and planning tasks. GANTT is a great feature for me. Linking into lots of other MS Tools works great same as hyperlinks to ulrs.
Pros
brainstorming
task planning
GANTT
Cons
very complex mindmaps are still tricky to maintain
Maybe AI can help there
Likelihood to Recommend
it is the best mindmapping tool with heaps of features nowhere found similarly

Often described in MindManager questionnaires - use mindmapping since more than 20 years, since 2010 as digital tool. Various uses for investigations, problem solving, documentation, etc. Up to 2020 use MindManager in windows and apple environment, since 2020 concentrated on apple environment only.
Pros
MindManager has the longest track history. One could rely on a development track including long years requirement. (All is in .....market leader)
Basic idea of mindmapping (from 80/90ties) is fully developed and can be executed in MindManager.
A lot of additional functionality has been developed over time and is of comfort for the user
Cons
While being focussed on Apple since 2020, disadvantages became obvious. The Apple MindManager licence offers around 30 % less functionality than the windows version - cost for licenses are the same. A real disadvantage for Apple users.
Basic idea of mindmapping is a structured support by a mindmapping procedure to solve problems, find new approaches, understand complex situations, etc. By all the additional functionality in MindManager over the years, it tends to become more powerful but as well more complicated. It needs more and more "system work" of the user to keep pace with the developments. Risk to overload the system or "loss of ease to solve things".
From my point of view, it it is necessary to adapt the Apple system upwards and overall to integrate an "easy to use mode" in order to support the original brain storming idea as DNA-core function.

MindManager is well suited in a collegial environment, where all members agreed to work "that way". From my experience, MindManager cooperation becomes hard or even inefficient, where persons are involved not being able or not being willing to proactively use MindManager-process. From my experience in wider organizations, a relation of 70/30 is mostly given. 30% are fully engaged in MindManager-processes, 70 % maybe interested up to not being interested or resisting.

Cons

I particularly love MindManger as an efficient way to store Information, especially for programs that I'm working to manage. It keeps things efficiently so I can quickly drill down to specific information I need, but allowing me to see the high level at a glance first.

From my perspective you have ruined some key features that have caused me to no longer enjoy the product and at $475 for a permanent license, other products are looking far more appealing. 1. Pasting in to topic notes does not maintain the original formatting. I use this function constantly and having to reformat the text everything makes me want to uninstall the product. This, I feel is a lost opportunity as text copied from ChatGPT is in markdown and gets pasted everywhere as raw markdown. I think Corel could easily have built a feature that translate markdown as a marketable feature (this could also apply to WordPerfect) 2. The radial maps don't behave like a clock anymore, the auto-balance just puts new topics as it pleases. In my opinion, this is disruptive to the design flow using the keyboard shortcuts and real-time collaborative work. 3. In my opinion, the new map designs are terribly bland and un-inspiring, I think you guys need to stop trying to follow nuvo cool designs and focus on corporate.
Pros
Charge high prices
Reduce user functions
Make the product less and less appealing
Cons
Topic notes
Topic design
AI integration
Auto-Balance

See my first comment. In my opinion, stop ruining the product with pay to use add-ons that should be included in the already horrendous price.
