As a law firm it's imperative we maintain an email archive that's easily searchable for eDiscovery and case management purposes. Beyond that, we've used Mimecast Cloud Archive many times to retrieve lost or mistakenly deleted messaged. The Archive search allows for granular searching based on time frame, words, phrases, and attachments which has been extremely helpful.

We've had multiple instances of needing to pull messages relating to eDiscovery for cases that Cloud Archive has always been able to take care of. We've also utilized the solution to go back and review departing employees' messages to identify data exfiltration. We'll often receive requests from employees who may have missed messages to provide copies.

We recently applied segregation on the account management level and successfully deployed it to all our business groups. Overall, I love the product itself, i.e., Mimecast Cloud Archive, but I had a few issues with account management and PS teams, which I raised with them directly.

We have used Mimecast Cloud Archive for nearly 10 years now and it has helped in so many ways. First and foremost it allows us to maintain lean mailboxes, even since moving to cloud based mail platforms our users know they can delete emails and know they are backed up for 99 years!

Secondly, we have a large staff turnover and in our industry work happens via email. The amount of times we have had to search the archive as an admin to retrieve critical information pertaining to a job or client which has helped clarify an issue or dispute has been paid for the service many times over!

Our work is guaranteed for a lifetime so keeping all emails exchanged in the business is a must.

If your business deals thousands of emails a day across clients, vendors and employees then ensuring strict policies around retention is important in allowing communication to be always stored.

Large turnover of staff also helps in ensuring that previous communications when people take over roles can be searched and stored for the long term.

Integration in older versions of outlook has also worked well for ease of searching.

Prior to the inception of Mimecast Cloud Archive, we as a company were heavily reliant on PST files for over 500 colleagues to self-manage. These files are exceptionally large, taking up a significant amount of on-site storage space, which in turn came with additional costs for storage space. PST files equally, are notoriously volatile and can create problems for the service desk team, trying to recover, repair or manage these for users. By use of Mimecast Cloud Archive, we addressed the issue with onsite storage, the difficulty for end users to manage their data, reduced the workload of the service desk team and ultimately, increased overall productivity for the business. This is due to the ease of use Cloud Archive possesses and the stability the platform possesses.

<div>I was surprised by the amount of data/emails found within Mimecast. I believe that it is perfectly suited to archiving data securely without the fear of loss or experiencing difficulty retrieving any old, lost or deleted emails.</div>I cannot think of any environment where Mimecast will not be appropriate especially with the norm of mistaken deletion - that's before we even consider small mailboxes.

I had 2 users who left the company and when they left the deleted all their emails and cleared their trash and recover deleted items. We were able to log into Mimecast Cloud Archive and completely restore the mailboxes in roughly an hour and pull critical client emails with out loosing any time.

We are happy with Mimecast Cloud Archive. It also has features such as legal hold that was helpful. It was fast and easy to search email.

Long-term email archive, Mimecast allowed staff to keep all emails in the vault while being able to reduce their live mailbox size. This has also helped for auditing and legal reasons, being able to produce proof of emails in their original format. I also took advantage of the Exchange M365 cloud Backup tool, which allows mailboxes to be granularly restored.

This is for any business that needs secure, tamper-resistant, long-term email storage. Mimecast cloud archive is the answer. Easy self-service user interface, Admin interface is generally pretty usable as well with a good level of granular permissions for delegation to support staff. It allows cost savings with email storage by implementing retention policies and offloading the storage to Mimecast.

We needed a true archive system with better features than what Microsoft (not a true archive) gives.

The sync and recover has saved us a huge amount of time when we've needed to recover one or thousands of emails for a mailbox. And it is simple and quick from the admin perspective.
