Hybrid Deployment

Part of that was setting up our own infrastructure that was managed by us, but also getting it to synchronize with the cloud so that it was both on-premise and in the cloud. So that's a little bit about our infrastructure is that we have a hybrid deployment both and in the cloud.

Okta

Actually just cloud. Deployment was limited basically, but I think we use Azure AD for some of the things we do, but we also use Okta for some of our identity management as well and access. So it's a balance of the two.

Entra ID/Azure AD

We are 100% cloud-based with our deployment. As it stands right now, we use Entra ID as our primary means of authentication for our users to support across all of our users, both on premises at our dealerships remote, and then at our satellite locations as well. So our general use case is just for it as our general ad replacement.

Do you use Entra ID to secure non-Microsoft apps? If so, please explain.

From 34 reviews | Last Published April 23, 2026

The reviews indicate that Entra ID's integration with open IT protocols facilitates the securing of non-Microsoft apps. In contrast, a smaller segment of reviewers, 9% (3 of 34), report using Entra ID exclusively for Microsoft applications. A small minority, 6% (2 of 34), indicate no current use of Entra ID for any applications.

Single sign-on (SSO)

Yeah. Somehow we are using with the single signon, like SAP, you can say being an oil and gas company, we are having hundred of applications.

Securing non-Microsoft apps

We do that through primarily SSO through Federated authentication, so it's a non-Microsoft app. It runs in some third party environment, and so we use SSO and SAML to integrated within our infrastructure.

Microsoft apps only

We're only using Microsoft app.

Positive ROI/Cost Savings

It's definitely been a net positive overall. Being able to incorporate the licensing within our Office 365 scope, it saved us a ton of money. When we were using Okta before was an additional expense on top of our existing Microsoft 365 expenses, so being able to eliminate that has been great.

Security Improvement

It's had a really good ROI just, especially from a security perspective, because if any of my employees get breached and they have access to sensitive tools or data, it could cause a lot of havoc. So Entra ID helps us reduce their permissions.

Ease of Use/Integration

Works on both IOS and android setup. Very compatible with Azure AD and it's grou[ to integerate. Microsoft Entra ID's user provisioning and access control in whole ecosystem is simple
