Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We manage multiple business profiles whether its Product Pages in Facebook or Instagram or the Ad accounts associated with them for running various campaigns. Through Meta Business Manager its easy to manage employees and agencies taking care of the Accounts with varied role. Features such as Ads Reporting, Event Manager and Audience management helps us to understand the market and do proper targeting thereby creating multiple cohorts and optimising our spends across multiple user profiles.

Good Billing system
Multiple pages, users, properties can be handled at one place

Meta Business Manger is well suited for large/medium and small organisations with single or multiple stake holders and products. It works very efficiently. Cases where app events are defined for android and iOS, it work wonders for campaign measurement and campaign level targeting. Meta Business Manager is very appropriate for running financial, educational, real estate, e-commerce related ads. Meta Business Manager is not appropriate if you have are into enterprise sales.

I use Meta Business Manager to manage Facebook and Instagram accounts for small businesses. I mostly use it to update business information, schedule posts, and run ads. It's pretty much a necessity if you are managing multiple pages. I think it's also the absolute worst and I hate it.

In my experience, Interface is constantly changing and help articles never stay up to date
In my opinion, the level of hoops you have to jump through to assign access is insane
In my experience, Meta loves to ban you or block you from things without giving you a reason

If you need to manage multiple pages and schedule out posts for business, especially if you want to do Facebook and Instagram at the same time, then you really do need to use Meta Business Manager - unless you're willing to shell out a decent amount of money for 3rd party tools. However, in my experience, the constant updates, outdated or missing documentation, lack of support, glitches, and hard walls you come up against are incredibly frustrating. I think it's really a dumpster fire, but one that you have to work with.

I use Meta Business Manager on a weekly basis in Facebook and Instagram for running marketing campaigns to target my core audiences and potential customers, I use it integrated with other tools to build my audiences. For us it allows it to target both B2B and B2C for our product and allows us to drive leads/app sign ups.

Cons

A lot of metrics and analysis, some of it is really useful but others not
Very complex tool - could it be simplified and remove a lot of features
A lot of platform updates make it hard to know where things are
AI is pushed a lot but I like to have my own control

Likelihood to Recommend

Ultimately if your target audience/customers use Facebook or Instagram then its something that you are going to need to use / or have a presence on. Buyers use multiple channels, so if you user searches on google you can target them on Meta Business Manager, to reinforce your brand and push for a sales conversions. If you are for example only target B2B and larger businesses I would say that its not for you.

Meta Business Manager has been helpful for our small business in many ways. In this day and age, the social media advertising and marketing is a must. With Meta Business Manager we have been able to better manage those aspects as well as more business information and details to better help patients and customers find us.

Facebook/Meta Business Manager constantly updates things and changes location of information making it hard to find things at times
Wish they would stop changing where things are found on the platform

We use Meta Business Manager to run our FB assets along with Instagram access. We are just now looking at spending money for FB Ads to validate one of our products and then test variations of marketing messages for that product. The goal is to bring in more relevant leads.

Meta Business Manager is well suited for companies that have the resource of time to really use the platform to its full ability. Or those that have experience in the finer art of marketing.

For small business owner, holding lots of hats, the system is overwhelming and time consuming to reach the full benefits it offers. Which I feel puts me (small business owner) at a disadvantage to actually performing well/being seen on FB and IG.

We use Meta Business Manager as part of our marketing ecosystem. We typically utilize Meta Business Manager as a full-funnel channel, serving content at the top, mid, and bottom of the funnel. The product addresses driving brand equity at a low cost compared to other channels, like LinkedIn. We are able to grow our prospect audience at efficient costs, growing our retrageting pool while increasing overall multi-channel touchpoints.

Helps drive more efficient CPCs and CPMs than other social channels
Targets users outside of working hours
Helps grow Retargeting pools to use on other channels
Meta Business Manager's AI does a great job in identifying our ICP based off intent signals

Cons

Their AI features are less than desirable and always have errors
Always uncheck the music option on stories and reels
The platform tends to spazz out/glitch often and even published work needs to constantly be combed over
They are in need of more B2B targeting options

When utilizing a Lookalike audience based off a client's Current Customer list, Meta Business Manager does a great job in identifying who our ICP is. Pair that that CAPI and the platform is nearly fool proof. We have generated some of the highest pipeline through Meta Business Manager when done correctly, and the channel has great potential. We find that Lead Generation with Mid-funnel content drives more pipeline than direct response or Demo offers. Webinars and On-Demand webinars perform well on Meta Business Manager as well.

We use it to help us put ads together to run on Facebook/Instagram, to build organic content native to run on those platforms. There are some features available in the business suite that aren’t available in 3rd party software such as sprout or hootsuite.

Cons

Often feels like changes are made without any planning, things break or are disconnected.
It can be quite complicated to get the analytics data
It is frustrating using some of the interface which feels poorly planned from a UX perspective

Likelihood to Recommend

In some cases it is the only option for certain features such as adding srt (captioning) files to videos, or to get specific analytics data. It is also the best way to publish ads on Meta platforms

We use Meta Business Manager to manage our single Facebook page, ad account, Instagram account, and our tracking pixels. We were able to assign specific roles and permissions to our ad partners so they could handle the ad buys and pull analytics. This helped our small team save time. We use Sprout Social for most of our non-ad analytics, but use Meta Business Manager for our ad analytics.

Team - easy to assign roles and permissions to our team members and to other partners
Advertising campaign management - easy to generate and add pixels
Analytics - easy to pull data and insights with website tracking and ad click-throughs

Cons

Always changing interface - the navigation is not intuitive and can be confusing if you're not using it on a daily basis as the location of things seems to change quite frequently
Learning curve for new users and anyone that isn't tech-savvy
Support - can be hard to get in touch with support

Likelihood to Recommend

Meta Business Manager is well-suited when you need to have a varying level of permissions for users both inside and outside your organization. It's less appropriate for small business owners that don't have much experience with ad buys or analytics, as it's not as intuitive as the regular Facebook platform.

As a marketing specialist for a private high school, social media is a primary form of internal communication, marketing for Development, and marketing for Admissions. Meta Business Manager helps us navigate our multiple profiles on multiple platforms and allows us to share content between all of those profiles without working against ourselves.

Pros

Everything you might need is in one place, from content creation to analytics
Offers helpful tools for beginners, like plans with tasks to help you accomplish goals
Has all of your paid media in the same space as your organic media. It makes deciding on ad spend easier when you can see everything in one place.

Cons

You have to look in multiple places for a full range of analytics
The way it handles ad spend can be unpredictable, so if you're on a budget, you have to make sure you're really watching your ad spend
For as much as Meta Business Manager pushes stories, reels, etc., the editing tools for this kind of content are limited or nonexistent.

Likelihood to Recommend

Meta Business Manager is great if your real goal is to manage organic content and post exclusively on Facebook and to your Instagram feed. All other types of content are too difficult to manage in this platform. If you have a flexible budget and know what you're doing with paid ads and the platform itself, Meta Business Manager can be a decent choice, but if you're a beginner or on a strict budget, it's not easy to use.

Meta Business Manager allows us to advertise quickly and easily on Meta properties. Scaling so easily on a major social network is really beneficial for business goals and keeping our team size lean and flexible. We use Meta to advertise on Facebook and Instagram mainly and love the flexibility of targeting options.

Cons

Permissions are difficult to manage from one central setting.
Too many nested options.
Admin Settings are not the best.

Likelihood to Recommend

This works great if you want to advertise on Facebook or Instagram. It would not work for other platforms. The targeting options on Meta are the best I've seen. There are many different targeting interests, and you can really trust the data that Meta has. Scaling one creative to many different placements is also really helpful.
