Endpoint Central is used for endpoint management, patching, OS Deployment, remote control, software management, license management, MDM and security. I've been using the system for over 3 years and to date, it is great for our environment. It gives us a simple deployment and management solution for a reasonable price. We also use the Service Desk so the integrations are great.

Simple inventory management
Cons
I think the configuration management needs a bit more work.

Earlier In our company we were facing a lot of challenges apart from threat and vulnerabilities like data getting out. but through this software we blocked all the peripherals and also measure size of data in and out. Additionally, We can even install a single software into multiple systems. It was a great investment and worth every penny
Pros
Unauthorized device restriction - It restrict several USB ports and monitor files transferred in or out of the system
App installation in single click - With single click we can install a single software into multiple systems
Threat Detection -detect and protect from several vulnerabilities
Cons
User Interface could have been better. Otherwise everthing is really fine.

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central to manage laptops (Windows), physical, virtual and public cloud servers.Endpoint Central has solved the security gap that we may have regarding the security of endpoints, since we can do a periodic analysis and take mitigation actions automatically (patching, configurations, among other things). In addition, it helps us to have a real asset inventory, due to the rotation of equipment with different users, it is really a help for the company. More precise decisions can be made such as the purchase of new equipment or warranty renewals.
Pros
Periodic vulnerability analysis, including the solution to these security gaps.
inventory of assets (hardware and software), with notifications to interested parties
centralized application management: application deployment and application uninstallation (manual and automatic)
Cons
Should support the deployment of images for operating systems other than Windows
Agentless asset scanning, in addition to what already works well with agent
It must incorporate an antivirus, it is the last feature that would be missing to provide complete security management.
Likelihood to Recommend
A suitable scenario is for automatic patching of operating systems and third-party applications. Being able to form test groups. before mass deployment of patches.A less appropriate scenario would be an environment with Linux equipment, with high turnover, because as the deployment of images is needed to have the equipment ready in a short time, it is not possible, since this functionality is not compatible with Linux Operating Systems
Working in modern IT it can be difficult to orchestrate endpoint management with a one size fits all tool. Endpoint Central enables our ability to apply powerful reporting capabilities to practical application of updates. Endpoint Central has allowed us to support our users from any location at any time with the Secure Gateway server and enabled us to have all our estate available at our fingertips. Network saturation is no problem with Endpoint Central, Distribution servers have allowed us to stay close to the data ensuring our bandwidth is used for our business!
Pros
Patching
Remote Access
Reporting
Cons
Image Creation is a good feature but I believe it is expensive with Endpoint Central
Allow the use of ad groups to create custom groups based on them
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great overall. I cannot see an IT setting that it is less appropriate. With regard to features I feel MDM is mostly orchestrated through Entra for many businesses, therefore, I have not really found it useful in the platform. I have found that image creation is very slow and should be done better.
