i like to keep tracks of assets. i like the fact that i can install the agent software from active directory option, and i like the mdm but im still puzzled that window app for mdm is gonna be obsolete? i lost my trust in OS deploy knowing that it dont like sysprep so i had to follow their way to capture and still issue with images so im just sticking with the WDS and MDT for now until i get a solution. i like to create a wim, and make sure it is cleaned using sysprep instead the captured image without sys prep
Pros
MDM
Agent
Patch managmeent
Configuation to send shortcuts, software, or update patch
wake up lan
Software deployment
Cons
OS deployment still need to be more improvement plus i want to upload the wim option if there is.

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central for central management and monitoring of all our endpoints. This include remote control and management, configuration and software deployment, patch and vulnerability management, compliancy management ( We use the CIS benchmarks as our framework and ManageEngine Endpoint Central makes this easier to manage and configure ) and Bitlocker management.
Pros
Bitlocker Management
Remote Management
Patch Management
CIS Compliancy Management
Cons
Software Deployment - clarity on why deployments failed could be better
Vulnerability Management - the products own detected vulnerabilities should be better managed/mitigated
Being able to use both EPC and Remote Desktop Plus on the same agent. We have a requirement for one of our teams to use a remote tool but not to use EPC. EPC could be used by restricting access to the remote control section but you need a full EPC license for the users and is not economical.

ManageEngine Endpoint Central in general is a good fit for most of the companies I worked for. This is a single platform that manages many aspects of endpoints from basic remote management, patch management and compliancy check. This has been a major boost to get our endpoint compliant to the CIS framework.

We use this product primarily for software deployments and patch management on our private cloud environment. It keeps all of our customer servers (around sixty-five) patched with the latest Microsoft and third-party applications and security fixes. We've been using it for over four years and have had no issues with it. It's a great product at a very reasonable price.
Pros
Software Deployments
Patch Management
Dashboards
Cons
UI is a bit old fashioned
Patching of the application is over-complicated and slow
Menus need to be simplified

Great for patching operating systems and third-party applications. Also very good for deploying software to customer servers. We have very specific requirements for this application, so we've not really used all of it's available features. What we use it for it does very well, I can't really comment on it's other functionality, as we've not used that.
This software stands out as the premier solution for patch management, software distribution, and management of external devices. Its lightweight nature and straightforward deployment process are significant advantages. A key feature of Endpoint Central is the assurance provided by having inventory management, patch updates, and mobile device management all integrated within a single service.
Pros
Management of external devices
Software distribution
Patch management
Cons
Support in Europe and in Spanish could be improved

Excellent ITSM tool for any type of company.

We use ManageEngine Desktop Central to automate desktop management, take control of remote desktops, deploy patches, and deploy software. ManageEngine Desktop Central is being used across the entire organization, approximately 200 people in 7 locations.
Pros
The software deployments are fabulous. It takes a bit of homework to properly set up silent installs, but once you've got it figured out it deploys software like a champ.
Patch management is a breeze. The reporting is great. You can deploy to entire sets of computers or just one or two for testing.
The remote control agent is superb. It supports the use of multiple screens and also allows file transfers in the background.
Cons
Sometimes the remote control agent will simply lose mouse/keyboard control. You can still view the session, but you are no longer in control. A disconnect/reconnect is the only solution.
The remote control agent can have issues with super-high resolution video cards. It causes the mouse to be "off" by a few inches on the screen. You have to ask the end-user to adjust the monitor to a lower resolution, then reconnect.
Huge patches can be an issue because the end-user needs to first wait for the patch to DL, then install. They often grow frustrated and reboot while the huge patch is still downloading. It would be nice if it pre-pushed larger patches in the background, then installed it. We've found a manual way to pre-copy the patch files into the end-user's target directory, but this workaround is not ideal.

It is well suited for an environment that requires the management of 40+ computers. The ability to push software, deploy patches, and remote control computers is great.
The current use for Desktop Central 9/10 is for user and machine management. It has been great for full access and control of our company's assets. [It's] good for pushing out patches and various updates. There have been some issues when connecting to user machines outside the domain.
Pros
Excellent at patch updates.
Remote software installs.
Assets recovery.
Cons
Not always reliable remote control. Although it has been better with the update from Desktop Central 9 to Desktop Central 10 but still needs more work.
Likelihood to Recommend
Once again great for policy and remote software deployment.. the days of pushing scripts may be long over.
