Nothing better than Blu Age in this era.
Rating: 7 out of 10
IncentivizedUse Cases and Deployment Scope
We used the Blu Age services to migrate our legacy COBOL applications to cloud using AWS.
It creates modern applications from legacy applications. It transforms the code and the database into latest modern framework.
There seems to be lot of potential in this requirement as many organisations wants to leave legacy applications and dependencies and transform the existing applications into modern framework and interfaces where there will be enough resource talent.

Pros
- Convert the application code into new programming language
- Converts the legacy databases into modern one.
- Automated the process of doing the complex migration
- Budget friendly process
- Deployment is done in quick manner using devops pipeline.
- Transforms the entire application into user friendly interface
Cons
- Would not recommend this for complex banking applications.
- Banking applications and business logic is stringent. Not an easy job to perform without running the test cases for millions of functionality.
- To get success in transforming the banking applications, Blu Age has to think differently. They need to automate test cases within the tool to know the success rates. Business logic or code might give other results after conversion. Need to look into this aspect too.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for those legacy applications where the business is not running complex financial applications.
It is well suited for transport, retail, insurance, and airlines domain. It's possible to convert these legacy applications into moderns one's. There won't be much impact here.
It can be avoided for the financial domain applications as it requires deep study of logic, interfaces and dependencies.
